I am just wondering how many significant tweets Trump managed to issue during the last 48 hours. I have the feeling he suddently became more than silent. But I might have missed some of his daily tweets...

I think he's letting us know he's under investigation:
Thank you to Eli Lake of The Bloomberg View - "The NSA & FBI...should not interfere in our politics...and is" Very serious situation for USA

In fact, the reports of ongoing contacts between Russian officials and Trump campaign people last summer, the hacking of DNC email, the timing of some of the releases --remember the Debbie Wasserman Schultz flap, emails released through Wiki Leaks on the eve of the Democratic Convention -- suggest an ongoing relationship between Trump and the Putin regime.

Is that pretty much what happened? CNN is reporting FBI and law enforcement sources say intercepts have revealed Russian officials talking among themselves, saying they have "special access" to the Trump administration.
CNN is leading with this pre-election Russia shenanigans this morning.

Too early to make Watergate comparisons - or maybe not. It has that feel to me.

"What did he know and when did he know it?"

I predict we will see Flynn under oath before congress. If his conversations were in fact recorded, he could be open to a perjury or contempt of congress charge is he tries to weasel around.

Would make for interesting theater at the very least.

This uh, isn't a denial.
The real scandal here is that classified information is illegally given out by "intelligence" like candy. Very un-American!
In fact, it seems more like a confirmation that the leaks are accurate.

the rogue white house twitter suggests that in return for firing Flynn, Trump got his Twitter account back.
Hope it's not true - I don't want a baby-in-chief, regardless of party membership.

Funny thing is, we know of the Russian connection since Novembre, but they are only now beginning to understand that it's a serious issue?

The Hair is blaming the intelligence agencies for the leaks, ignoring the fact that the leaks were engineered by Pence.

Yeah, The Hair made no secret of the fact that he was Putin's dog during the election. It's disingenuous to act all surprised now.

He was apparently interviewed by the FBI so if he misled them he could be charged with making false statements.

So much for Trump's attempts to get on the good side of American national intelligence agencies.

Trump's twitter feed is very confusing.
"Crimea was TAKEN by Russia during the Obama Administration. Was Obama too soft on Russia?"
Where is he going with this? I can't even.

There's a scene in Game of Thrones when Tywin begins to realize that after devoting all his efforts to put Joffrey on the throne, Joffrey is unstable and unpredictable.

It ultimately ended badly for both Tywin and Joffrey.

The news of the deployment comes as the Trump administration deals with the fallout from Michael Flynn’s resignation as national security adviser. Flynn stepped down after reports that he communicated with Russia's ambassador to the U.S. about sanctions prior to President Trump's inauguration and misled Vice President Pence about it

It's a typical Trump response. People say that Trump is too close to Russia, so Trump says that Obama was too close (soft, in this case) to Russia. Whatever you say about Trump, he says about an opponent.

At some point the constant criticism of Trump is going to cause him to explode and let's hope his response is limited to saying something instead of doing something.

Exactly! Why would he make Russia do that? Just to prove that he's better than Obama who let Russia take Crimea instead of launching a punitive invasion in response or threatening to nuke Moscow unless they turned back which would've been perfectly reasonable.

Now if Russia doesn't do as Trump says he will just call one of the leaders of Americas closest allies and brag about HOW BIG the turnout was for his inauguration and just HOW MANY electoral votes he got.

BBC is reporting that Trump is renewing his attacks on the intelligence community:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-38983742

Quote:
Mr Trump appeared to attack the NSA and the FBI for what he described as leaks to the media about the contacts.

"Information is being illegally given to the failing @nytimes & @washingtonpost by the intelligence community (NSA and FBI?)," he tweeted.

That tweet doesn't make any sense at all.
I mean, even less than they usually do.

How does this Russian investigation have any effect on a campaign that ended months ago?

I'm not even sure that's the right question to ask either, as the tweet is just...well...

It's bonkers.

That may be a part of it, but don't give him too much credit. This could also be his stupidity showing.

Work against him, regardless.
