The Guardian reports:

"The Los Angeles city attorney’s office will not bring misdemeanor charges over domestic violence allegations against lawyer Michael Avenatti.

...

The Los Angeles district attorney previously declined to bring felony charges, leaving it to the city attorney to consider a misdemeanor prosecution.

Avenatti said he was vindicated by the decision."

Absolutely. The Great Right Wing Noise Machine has actual primary candidates announced and can go after them rather than fringe players. The most devoted Avenatti critic on these forums is a prime(primary) example.

Hilarious hypocritical hack Michael Avenatti can't even get through a single sentence without fully and completely ******** the bed:

"No - I called you a terrible lawyer who thinks Twitter is a forum to attack other lawyers when you don’t know what the hell you are talking about. How long have you been practicing? Because from what I can tell, it’s about 2 min. You need to learn the law before you pop off."

Here is a link,

I can't link directly because Avenatti put TBD on block because I hurt his feelings

Porn Grifter Committed Bankruptcy Fraud?

"Michael Avenatti hid millions of dollars from the court overseeing his law firm’s bankruptcy and used much of the money for personal compensation, a former partner alleges in new court records."

The court documents were filed by Jason Frank, a former lawyer at Eagan Avenatti who has been trying for eight months to collect a $10-million judgment that he won against the firm. Frank’s court papers allege that Avenatti’s bank maneuvers were an unlawful effort to dodge his firm’s creditors.

“This includes brazen acts of bankruptcy fraud,” Frank’s lawyer, Scott H. Sims, wrote in the court papers.

No surprise that the leftists went gaga for this scumbag.

Avenatti has a video of R Kelly having sex with a 14-year-old and has passed it on to the Cook County States Attorney

Ah. I guess it'd make sense for anyone with such a tape to lawyer up, since they're likely to be one of the people that helped cover for R. Kelly's many crimes. And if Avenetti stays working at this level instead of pretending he'd be a good president, and gets this serial child rapist locked up for good, then I'll applaud him.

It's about time something was done about Kelly.

But I am annoyed that Avenatti's statement spells "preyed" incorrectly.

Michael Avenatti accused of hiding millions of dollars from bankruptcy court

Quote:
Through subpoenas to banks, Frank obtained records that detail millions of dollars in lawsuit settlement payments, legal fees and other funds that Avenatti collected during the bankruptcy but did not disclose to the trustee, the new court records show.

In one case, Eagan Avenatti was representing ticket holders who sued the National Football League in connection with seating snafus at the 2011 Super Bowl in Arlington, Texas.

After the case was closed, a Texas lawyer told Avenatti in a May 2017 email that he was ready to transfer $1.4 million to Eagan Avenatti, the court records show.

Avenatti responded with wiring instructions that split the money, with $409,000 directed to a firm account that was disclosed to the bankruptcy trustee and $953,000 to an undisclosed account controlled by Avenatti.

EA was counsel of record for Greg Barela in a lawsuit entitled Barela v. Brock USA, LLC, Case No. 8:15-cv-779 (“Barela”) filed in U.S District Court for the Central District of California in May 2015. (Frank Decl., ¶ 44, Ex. 41.) The lawsuit was compelled to arbitration before the Judicial Arbiter Group, Inc. in Colorado. (Id.) During the bankruptcy, on or about December 28, 2017, Avenatti opened another undisclosed “client trust account” at CNB (5566). (Frank Decl., ¶ 45, Ex. 30.) On January 5, 2018, this account received a wire of $1.6 million from Brock USA LLC. (Id., Ex. 42.) The wire states the payment was for the “Brock USA 2018 Settlement Payment”:

,,,,

The day earlier, on January 4, 2018, Avenatti deposited into the same newly opened client trust account at CNB (5566) a check from the Judicial Arbiter Group to EAfor $11,718.75 – which according to memo line on the check was for “Barela v. Brock.” (Frank Decl., Ex. 44.
he also wired money from the client trust account to his girlfriend.

I find it hilarious that TBD can't let go of his obsession with Avenatti. It's also amazing that he thinks Trump shouldn't be in jail but Avenatti should be. Oh well, objectivity is lost with this one.

I have no doubt that Avenatti is an attention seeking whore, but how is this different from Trump's behavior since 1985 or Dershowitz or Rudy Giuliani? I'm sure there are others.

What personal attacks? Clearly there is an obsession and clearly you approach behavior with double standards. Don't you feel that standards should be universally applied?

I concede the point that Avenatti sending out a press release is a demonstration of him seeking attention. Who cares? Do you care that everyone from Kim Kardashian to Paris Hilton to Dershowitz to Donald Trump employ similar tactics throughout their careers?

You seem to believe that Avenatti belongs in jail when Trump has done far worse. I'll make a deal. Send them both to prison.

Dershowitz doesn't pretend he can be president (plus he isn't getting sued by his business partners or filing high-profile losing cases that his clients don't even want).

Trump actually is president.

Send them both to prison.
bu bubbububububbuubbubububub TRUMP!

The fetish for terrible ad hominem/tu quoque fallacies (and obsession with TBD) from the leftists around here is absolutely astonishing

Again, you don't seem to understand what a tu quoque or and ad hominem fallacy is. Simply pointing out that you apply double standards based on the individual or more specifically, their political party is NEITHER.

I agreed with you that Avenatti was seeking attention. SO WHAT?

So? That doesn't make Dershowitz any less an attention seeking whore.. Now does it?

Being President doesn't make someone above the law or criticism.
