GOP trying to collect ballots in King County (WA)

King County here in WA votes purely by mail. The King County website is saying that they've received reports that the GOP is trying to collect ballots from people.

Honestly, I hope it really isn't happening, but people can use the above website to also track to see if their ballot was received. I checked on behalf of my wife, and hers was. It bothers me that people would try and subvert the elections like this.

Might be just be a misguided gesture of kindness, and trying to ensure that as many people vote as possible.

Not surprising. A ballot collector in Portland area was filling all blanks in with Republican votes. But at least the person had a valid ID.....

Good point. All the counties west of the Cascades are pretty solid blue. Why would someone go to the effort and take the risk?
