Anyone who believes this should test it. They may find the results surprising. It's easy to do. Go buy some fruit from a "health food" store, leave it in a fruit bowl out on the counter and wait a day or two. Once the clouds of fruit flies appear put a little honey in a bowl and a little vinegar in another one. Cover both with some plastic wrap and poke some holes in it so that the flies can get in easily, but getting out is more difficult. Wait overnight. Check out your catch. (N.B.; this is also the best method for getting rid of the damned things even when you didn't infect your kitchen on purpose.) I've never understood how this 'old saying' ever gained any traction. It is so obviously untrue. |

The problem with the theory is that it assumes he would do anything that does not lead to a huge financial gain for him. Some may argue the press he is getting, but he does not need a conspiracy for that to happen.

All my opinion of course, but I don't see Trump as a Republican or Democrat. He's the Trump Party. He's only in one party now because he (metaphorically) saw which way the wind was blowing and chose that side. It wouldn't surprise me one iota that, if he thinks he can succeed more, he changes to either Independent or Democrat.
As for the OP, I doubt very seriously he's a plant for anyone. As other posters have said, his ego wouldn't allow it. I prefer to take him at his word. He simply thinks he is the best thing for the USA, and wants to be President. Now, are the Democrats taking advantage of the situation without directly working with Trump? Absolutely! It doesn't mean I don't take a laugh out of this whole thing. Whenever I feel down, I say to myself "Presidential Candidate Donald Trump" and laugh myself silly. It's both hilarious and infinitely sad at the same time. |

According to the last Saturday night live episode he is considered that Chaos candidate so it might not be strictly a republican/democrat split. They haven't bothered to breakdown his block. Basically I see his being for the "I'm racist and don't give a **** bloc." I could see a black guy who was also racist and didn't give a **** considering a vote for Trump too.
Bernie Sanders recently trying to paint himself as the Chaos candidate by going after the Trump bloc went nowhere from what I see. |

Thanks, I did not get the Chaos candidate reference at first. Now it makes sense.

Not "sweet talk", just agreement.
There's a considerable bunch of GOP supporters who hate foreigners - illegal Mexicans, Muslims, etc., even Canadians. They want a holy war on Islam by turning the Middle East into a vast irradiated glass plain using nukes. They believe a mass shooting every day is no reason to control guns, because Obama the Kenyan Muslim is out to disarm them and use the Army to send them to FEMA camps any day now. Muslims with guns are terrorists; Christians with guns are patriots. Bernie is a pinko socialist commie faggot who wants to triple taxes and force everyone to be vaccinated with Ebola compulsorily. And Hillary is a lying and incompetent woman who should know her place better and Bill is a dick, and Benghazi!!1!!1!! And a GOP-dominated Congress holding up the business of government and the benefit of the country for no reason is a good thing.* And Trump simply plays along by echoing this sort of stuff back to his followers. And they lap it up. *Seriously, this is the mindset of the GOP we are seeing from out here! |

He drops out the morning of the official nomination of Clinton as the Democratic nominee, and the entire nation turns to see what Clinton will say. As recently as 2 weeks earlier, SNL was still doing jokes of how the Democrats had no chance. Even his reason, that the Democrats are reinvigorated and can properly contest the Republicans, screamed it. Later he jumps back in just in case. I liked Perot but at that point felt like a fool, and I was. I don't think Perot was a Democratic plant so much as he just hated Bush, maybe going back to the '70s, who knows. But yes, it is at least conceivable Trump is doing something similar. |

The Clinton connection
I think his past history with the clintons is evidence enough he is a trojan horse. Also no one says the things hes saying and expects to win a general election, but seems perfectly tailored for a republican nomination.

From the perspective of living in God's Garden , I must say Mister Trump unfortunately confirms what a lot of people here believe America is mainly made of . However mistakenly .
I guess that means I could not conceive of circumstances where such a character could last more than a few minutes here . Let's pray we are never put to such a degrading test . |

fact of the matter is.. soooo many liberals love trump because hes such an obvious poe.. hes there to make sure the republicans dont **** up the country... everything he says is exactly what he needs to say to win the republican nomination.. and for that i say best of luck.. why? because hillary will demolish him in a general election. he knows it, she knows it.. its obvious.. and it was planned... hes there to disrupt he disputers in congress. hes not really as fascist or as xenophobic as youd think... but he is a narcissist.. which is why hillary will comb his ego in the ge debate.. so to speak..

If he is a Democratic plant ,it is just about the most brilliant move a political party has done in history.

I have to admit, when he first began his campaigning, I hoped that this was a ploy to get Hillary elected.

I just checked the UK betting sites.
None of them is offering odds on Trump being the vice-president on the Republican ticket but one site is offering 500/1 that Trump will be the bottom half of the Democratic ticket. Hmmmmmm. |

I think that offers most the insight we need into his current behavior. He does not have the best history when it comes to race relations. I suspect it's likely he's outraged at the race of the sitting president, hence his jumping on the Birther bandwagon after it was already winding down.

Would this have to be formalized for the payout, or just a logical conclusion as to the effect Trump is having on the race?
This sort of summarizes my view: Trump is not a Democratic plant, but will have the equivalent effect as one on the Republican party. Sort of a political POE- hard to tell if he is intending to be sarcastic or really means what he says, but to a large extent it doesn't mater which. Having recently read some long interviews with Trump, it seems clear to me that Trump is primarily concerned with Trump. 24/7. He just talks on and on about how wonderful he is, how amazing his ideas are, how great his last rally was, how much people love him.. and how his hands are sort of a largish version of medium- not small at all. Not to mention his... Hope he doesn't try to sue me for having the audacity to post this. |
