Only idiots would wish for more violence. Only complete morons would intensify the divisive rhetoric to encourage more violence.

He is from Illinois. How did he find out that Republican Congressmen were having a baseball practice? How does he know what's going on other than seeing guys doing baseball practice things? Is this practice event publicly announced and so he travelled to kill during a practice?

I didn't see Trump's speech but it was reportedly restrained, presidential even. Didn't try to blame Democrats or anything.

I guess they convinced him he should just read from the teleprompter. We'll see how long that lasts.

He pretends to be somber when it's one of his sycophants that gets hurt. I'd bet my house if you ask him who got shot tomorrow morning he'd have no idea the guy's name.

Nope. Just if Republican human trash like the one I quoted want Democrats to tone down their rhetoric, they should stop being such pieces of crap.

It is on topic because a piece of human trash Republican said in response to the shooting that Democrats should tone down their rhetoric. I think that if Republicans really want Democrats to tone down their rhetoric they should stop being such pieces of crap.

Did you not notice that the post you were replying to was a reference to a post aimed Tony Stark?

In other words, did you not notice that there is quite a bit of outrage on the left. Go to the thread. After Tony makes is comment, there is post after post criticizing Tony for making it. How can you not see that?

Don't answer that question out loud. I already know the answer. It's one of those questions for you to ponder until you understand it.

Your rhetoric and his are each parts of the problem.

You're not expecting reality to creep into these postings, are you?

lol

I wonder if there's ever going to be a time again, pre social media, when both sides and just talk and figure out there are many more things that unite us than divide us. The wretched hyper-partisans of the world need to be dealt with, shoved back into the dark where they belong. Where they can just talk among themselves and remind their group how right and noble they are, while allowing the sane and intelligent to just point and laugh.

I fear that day if far away, if at all. I fear that if it happens again, it will be under the flag of an entirely different country.

No. Really, no, and I really suggest you think about it in the friendliest of tones. Truly worthy of deep ponder, as the principle involved runs across many cases. Have a go; you will enjoy what the addition brings to your kit... I am not trying to be "anything" about this, rather, am sincere. Kick back, and have at it!

Respect was a two way road. Between consistent GOP efforts to block any raise to the gas tax to counteract inflation and repeated cuts in the Department of Transportation budget, including a proposed 13% cut under Trump's current budget plan, Respect is currently a poorly-maintained, rutted, pothole filled track along the ground which can perhaps permit one lane of traffic if it's a good day and it hasn't rained recently. And golly wouldn't ya know it but the GOP's favored F350 pickups are just too much truck to fit on this road.

Maybe if the liberals would stop getting in the way of privatizing the Metaphorical Highway System, what currently passes for Respect could be improved with a toll road system, whereby private citizens and other interested parties could pay to maintain the Respect of their congressmen and representatives more directly.
