What will Trump do after the Presidency?

Unless, of course, he dies in office, but if that doesn't happen, what next?

P.S.: This is a poll, wait for it!

P.P.S.: Dammit, forgot to enable multiple choice. Well, have at it anyway!

What will Trump do?

About 20 years to life.

I believe he'll melt into a puddle of orange grease. You know the runoff you get from pizza sometimes? That, only less delicious. I wouldn't want to dip any crusts into it, is what I'm saying.

There's a low-to-medium possibility he will flee to Russia.

I think he'll have no choice but to star in his own reality show which catalogues just how messed up he and his family is (are?). Like The Osbournes.

No valid options, so I voted Planet X.
He'll just keep holding rallies after having been bodily hauled out of the White House. Which will happen regardless of whether he's impeached and convicted, defeated in 2020, or simply runs up against term limits in 2025.

Good evening. If he doesn't end up in jail and considering that whoever replaces him will probably pardon him (you know, for the sake of the national best interest ), I suspect Trump TV will come to be. It will make FOX look like a real news network. All conspiracy theories, all the time.

it's a good question for whom Trump would still be useful.

Best case: he will do what Giuliani is doing and travel the world, making photo-ops for cash; might even get is name on something.

He'll never go away. I predict that, no matter how or when his presidency ends, he will ignore the near-unbroken tradition of former presidents staying quietly in the background. He'll conduct a shadow government where he'll tweet and send out spokespeople constantly to say what he would have done differently, how the person in office is only there due to lies and media bias against him (even if he serves two full terms), and braying about his latest pet conspiracy theory. He has to go away sooner or later, he can't live forever. Unless perhaps he joins the ranks of the undead! The idea of zombie Donald Trump is even more frightening than the living Donald Trump!

Paraphrased? I remember the line involving less of Morden's body than that.

Voted Planet X because what I think will happen:
  • President Trump will complete his second term
  • He will be reviled by most, but will still retain the support of 40% of the US population
  • He will split his time between "running" his businesses (or more accurately schilling for them and making public appearances) and attending Trump rallies to promote Ivanka's run at the presidency in 2028
  • He'll also be a permanent fixture on right wing media outlets schilling for his business and for Ivanka

He'll vanish into some wilderness or other* and a cult of the Living Trump will grow up among his worshippers. For generations, their increasingly horrible children** will be brought up on tales of His Orangeness, out there somewhere, readying His return in majesty, when He will shower covefe and hamberders on the hungering faithful, and

now I'm getting bored, making this carp up with no effort. Somebody want to turn it into a Tijuana bible? Hey, g'wan 'n strew your mess.

* Any nominations for where? 'Lantic City? Chernobyl? Detroit won't do, take it from this old skunk hunter.

I disagree. Trump will be so disgraced and facing so many criminal investigations that he will be toast. He may keep running his mouth and still may be tweeting but the press for the most part won't be covering. He'll be like the crazy old man ranting about the kids on his lawn. Loud and obnoxious who almost everyone wants to ignore.

I doubt Trump has any more interest in running a shadow government than he does in running a real one.

There's the Trump presidency as it is, and then there's West Wing fan fiction that progressives really believe.
