Woman gets prison for 1.6 million for family curse scam.

https://www.apnews.com/9fce8c53af7d4...ampaign=190911

It seems a Florida woman scammed someone to the tune of 1.6 million, to reverse a curse put on her family. 1.6 mil. I am unsure of the time period, and I assume it wasn't paid all at once.

As offensive as the crime is, I'm wondering if the woman scammed deserves a Darwin award.

I'd be happy to sell her one.

"The scheme ended in 2014 when Uwanawich admitted to the victim there had been no curse."

What?

Oh, "Uwanawich." :-)

In case that makes you think (like it made me think) that it might be a fake article:

"There's no curse on her now, right?"
"Yeah"
"So what's the problem?"

The government should nationalize it! Socialized, single-payer video game development and sales now! More, cheaper, better games, right? Right?

Wait, did she die as a result of this?

I do wonder if the person scammed is still stuck with an unfortunate family who continues to have 'bad-things' happening.

They can't have been all that unlucky if they had 1.6 million in the first place!
