Notice what happened to the Covid-19 death toll when Denmark, Finland, Iceland and Norway switched to the Swedish strategy one year ago, after vaccinations:
Cumulative confirmed COVID-19 deaths per million people: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden (Our World in Data)
Denmark's death toll more than doubled, Finland's almost quintupled, Iceland's more than sextupled and Norway's almost quadrupled.
Here in Finland they are no longer recommending covid jabs (or was it boosters) for children. Flu has started early. What will that be a recipe for?

The flu is not what you should be concerned about. Covid minimizers use flu as a distraction, at always.
Can you read this? The death toll from the flu season in Denmark, 2021 to 2022, and the simultaneous death toll from ('with') Covid-19:
Quote:
Kan det passe, at mere end ti gange flere danskere døde af C-19 som af influenza fra uge 40, 2021, til uge 20, 2022 (influenzasæsonen)?
Influenza: 261
Influenzasæsonen - opgørelse over sygdomsforekomst 2021/22
C-19: 3.728

For some reason, they don't seem as keen on distinguishing between deaths from and death with the flu. I (don't) wonder why!

Of course, face masks protect people from both the flu and SARS-CoV-2, but the Nordics seem to have agreed with Tegnell that face masks are a scam.

ETA: The Swedish flu and Covid-19 numbers from the last week of 2022:

Mainly for Scandinavians:

Quote:
We should not be worried.
We hear this phrase over and over again. From the most cited virologists, to heart experts over politicians and the Danish Health Authority. The pandemic is over – three times. No one wants to hear another word about corona, we have moved on, back to our normal lives in an open society, and the virus is just part of the repertoire of respiratory infections that we still have to fight every winter. 'Some will die, but they are old or already sick, so they don't really count. The real danger comes from China, which is now exporting new virus variants to the West after a failed ZeroCovid strategy.'
Molecular biologist: There is much we can do to tackle COVID-19 - but the authorities just acquiesce

Since I stopped posting the daily numbers of the Nordic countries on Feb 27, 2022, I almost forgot entirely about Greenland and the Faroe Islands. When you go to Our World of Data to find out what happened after date, it almost looks as if they went ZeroCovid when they noticed that I had stopped posting:
Cumulative confirmed COVID-19 deaths per million people.

And in the case of Greenland, even Wikipedia says, "Deaths 21 (updated 16 January 2023)." And Reuters repeats the number months later. Covid Observer: Nobody affected
So no Covid-19 deaths in Greenland since March 22, 2022. Congratulations with ZeroCovid, Greenland!

And the Faroe Islands, too! Since Feb 28, 2022, not a single death from, of or with Covid-19! How did they accomplish this? Well, it seems that restrictions were the cause of coronavirus. So lifting them was the cure: "All COVID-19 restrictions will be lifted from today, 28th February 2022. This means that it is no longer recommended to get tested for Corona and/or to quarantine." (Korona.fo) *

However ...

The Faroes - then and now:
Quote:
The National Hospital’s children’s ward has seen a big decrease in the number of inpatients since the corona outbreak
The children’s ward at Tórshavn’s National Hosptial is currently characterised by empty beds and an unusually silent waiting room.
The reason is that when schools and daycares shut down on 12 March as part of the national lockdown, viral infections other than COVID-19 virtually disappeared.
Other viral infections have “vanished” (KVF.fo, April 24, 2020)
Quote:
Influenza, RS virus, Covid and norovirus are circulating across the country
(...)
“Now we need to go through a period of re-immunisation. This should all be over by early spring. Until then, however, we can expect quite a few hospitalisations.”
Big surge in infectious diseases (KVF.fo, Jan 3, 2023)

Based on the context, re-immunisation does not appear to be a booster shot! It is the pandemic euphemism for getting sick. As Dr. Deepti Gurdasani put it:
"COVID can't be used to vaccinate you against COVID - because - it has all the side effects of COVID! Surprising this needs to be said but apparently we live in an era of epidemiological stupidity." (Twitter, Jan 5, 2023)

* I have spent two hours trying to find the numbers for Greenland and the Faroe Islands. As a Dane, it should be easier for me than for most people in the world, but I haven't found them. If I do, I'll get back.
