Other parts of this bill aren't so good, but, since the talk here is mostly about the idea of separation...

I'd be mostly in favor of breaking up the country into several. Let any state of either color introduce a bill for it at the Federal level; at this point I think most states would agree to it. The only problem is that, without developing new desalinization facilities on an unprecedented scale, it's instant death for southern California without the Colorado River unless California manages to keep Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, and Arizona all together with it so it can keep the river. If a new red country gets the river upstream of California, they'll cut it off just to point and laugh.

But I'd be fine up here in the northeast. The only question, once we're cut off from having red-state maniacs harm us anymore, is whether to start our own new national government or ask Canada for permission to join.

I think west of the Cascades WA and OR would be happier as part of Canada than Where the Nuts Are Idaho.

The whole idea is to disenfranchise the urban areas, and give the most primitive rural areas of Texas total control,
Irony is if adapted, this would kill Texas economically, since companies would leave like crazy knowing ther would be looted by the rednecks, who don't like them there furrin companies anyway.
