Will things change now that the Republicans are back in the majority in the House?

In fact, given that they are in the slender majority, does it not mean that she may have more power as she can withdraw her vote from anything that is too right-wing for Democrats to vote for but insufficiently insane for her to vote for?

Last I heard, well...

Quote:
Aside from working to recapture the majority, McCarthy has also been campaigning to win the speakerís gavel. And a key part of that strategy has been elevating potential critics and controversial Trump allies.

To that end, McCarthy has vowed to reinstate freshman Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia to her committee assignments, despite being stripped of her assignments by Democrats last year for her inflammatory remarks.
No restrictions, of course, because this is the GOP. That she'll go after Ukraine is pretty much a given, especially if she gets what she wants. Still, that's about as far as this tangent should likely go. Further discussion might be better taken to this thread.

If this is akin to the Russian invasion of Ukraine then the US armed forces should be mighty ashamed that, with all their resources, the invasion of the USA continues unabated. What a waste of money is the US armed forces!

I think a lot of so-called moderate Conservatives are going to be surprised at how far the GOP will go to accommodate the fringe.

They're going to act surprised.

There will be no incorporating this information into their understand of any issue though.

There's a term that addresses that, I think. Lazy thinking. Lazy thinking may also be the most predictive factor when it comes to accepting fake news, incidentally.
