Kanye West Confirms Presidential Run, Enlists Milo Yiannopoulos for His 2024 Campaign

Another black hole of stupid is forming. Two of the world's biggest attention whores join forces.

Kanye West Confirms Presidential Run, Enlists Milo Yiannopoulos for His 2024 Campaign

Quote:
After unsuccessfully running for president in 2020, Kanye West is giving it another go in 2024.

The rapper confirmed his upcoming campaign to paparazzi over the weekend, according to Consequence of Sound. “Yes… It’s simple…. It’s just we’re moving toward the future,” he said when asked if he’s running.

Additionally, Ye revealed that alt-right political figure Milo Yiannopoulos “is working on the campaign.” Yiannopoulos, a former Breitbart senior editor, most recently worked as an intern for Republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene.

West and Yiannopoulos have yet to post on their social medias about their political relationship.

Why does the USA celebrate its lunatics rather than rounding them up for treatment? Do citizens somehow have trouble identifying these people??

I think Milo is the more sane of the two, for sure. Maybe he can bring a little balance to the campaign.

Hopefully they pick a VP who is lighthearted. Maybe a stand-up comedian?

This isn't peculiar to the USA. Rich people of all nations are never crazy. They are eccentric.

Nope. From here outside the USA we certainly have our share of idiots, criminals, racists, neo-nazis, Trotskyites, bigots and other assorted ne'er-do-wells running for and achieving office. But only in the USA do we see outright patent lunatics given political credence and support.

If anyone votes for him, which candidate/party (with an actual chance) is that removing a vote from?

I'm assuming mostly GOP given the Milo Yiannopoulos angle. In which case I personally hope he does "quite well" (but not "too well").

Kanye West Used Porn, Bullying, ‘Mind Games’ to Control Staff (Rolling Stone)

Quote:
In the month since Adidas severed ties with West amid a hail of hate speech, more than two dozen former Yeezy and Adidas staffers have described to Rolling Stone an abusive office culture that left many of them fearing for their livelihoods. Behind the scenes, this celebrity boss did more than test the boundaries of professionalism: Former Yeezy and Adidas staffers and creative collaborators claim that he played pornography to Yeezy staff in meetings; discussed porn and showed an intimate photograph of Kim Kardashian in job interviews; and showed an explicit video and photos of Kardashian as well as his own sex tapes to Yeezy team members.

Now, a revelatory open letter by prominent former members of the Yeezy team insists that leaders from Adidas were aware of West’s “problematic behavior” but “turned their moral compass off,” raising questions about whether his corporate partner could have stepped in years ago.

I take his candidacy about as seriously as one of the joke candidates, like Vermin Supreme or Lord Buckethead. Anyone is allowed to run; it's a free country. Doesn't mean they have widespread political credence or support.

When he ran in 2020, he got about 60,000 votes.

For comparison, the Libertarian candidate got over 1.8 million votes, and the Green Party candidate got over 400,000 votes.

Meh. It's Candace Owens' sloppy seconds. By the time she and her Tesco brand Rupert Murdoch husband are done, West will need a sugar daddy of his own.

Oh, I absolutely underestimated Trump in 2016. But he had a platform, he put in the work.

But Kanye's already tried running for President. He doesn't have a platform, and he didn't put in the work. And we know how it turned out. Why would it be any different this time? Is Milo going to make the difference? I don't think so.

Here in Oz we have the Paint The Harbour Bridge Another Bloody Colour Party (it's painted dark grey, by the way). And everyone knows this party, and all the above, are only jokes or cross-eyed loonies. And Ye West is just another, as far as the rest of the world is concerned.

Wow! The nice thing about a Kanye West candidacy is all of the printing money that West can save on his campaign swag.

For example, instead of producing a multitude of t-shirts that say "Go Kanye West 2024!", he can simply produce a multitude of t-shirts that say "Go Ye 24".

And, of course, everyone will know what that means and he will save nearly 50% on his printing costs at the same time.

Or as Donald Trump would say, 'That makes him smart'.
