Black Holes Shedding Information

In all honesty this is beyond my understanding but the cosmological implications are, to say the least, interesting.

Sabine Hossenfelder weighs in on this a couple of days ago. I don't understand so much of this I don't think I'm really competent to comment, but I think her take is that the paradox can't be resolved until we update either quantum theory or relativity. But it probably can't be solved at all.
