Long Island Medium. Any recent debunking?

It doesn't look as if there are any recent discussions about Theresa Caputo. I am curious if anyone is looking at her carefully, as has been done with others like Sylvia and Reiner? Does anyone have information somewhat recent?

Even on paranormal forums, references to Caputo have been silent the last year or so. Seems her moments of fame have also died out like Noreen Renier.

Thanks Sherlock! I have come across her TV show recently and it seems her show has been renewed for at least another season.

It's easy to compare her current low-budget pre-filmed episodes now airing --- even in her 10th season --- versus competition from other live weekly programs shot before studio audiences. She doesn't have the viewership she once did.

Her current programming (showcased primarily on TLC) shows the cost of booking an ad is low, and likely will get lower as additional advertisers move on. She simply doesn't have the draw she once did. She also now lacks the broader reach across age groups she once had and isn't getting the social-media bounce off her TV appearances.

The age of her audience has gotten older and older. Without the draw that she once had its likely she has no where to go but down. TV psychics just aren't where viewers are at. Not any more. And that no doubt also is eroding her sideline supports like personal and business bookings.

Flipping channels, I watched about 20 minutes of Long Island Medium recently. The thing that struck me was that it seemed she used a combination of cold and hot reading. She asked about deceased people by names and other specifics.

Although one reading I found funny. She read a woman whose son died. Caputo suggested the sons name was something like "John". The woman screamed in recognition. The thing was, the woman was wearing a necklace, with a huge jeweled pendant, in the shape of the letter "J". Yes, I was ready to be a believer!

Well, her husband left her. You'd think she would've seen that coming.

There are links here - some of them fairly recent: Theresa Caputo: Criticism (Wikipedia)

Her ex-husband, Larry, must have some great stories to tell, but it seems he won't. He still seems quite respectful of her.

Why exactly do you we have to keep debunking absolute nonsense that was never... whatever the opposite of debunked is... in the first place?

We might as well launch an expedition to find a spice route to India.

It's been done. That's an Old Spice route.

Caputo has got tour dates booked out into next summer, so she's still hustling I guess.

Here's the thing: I don't think it's worth the time and effort to seriously debunk someone like Caputo. It's been done to death with countless other "mediums" and no one is listening. Her show will go on with it's audience who completely ignore debunking.
