I'm being told that Space Aliens made this crop circle to tell us our solar eclipse was merely "meh." The tourists go to systems with more elaborate eclipses.

They only come here to prank the provincial Humans.

I guess there's a nuanced point regarding frequency and viewing attraction of solar eclipses.

Certainly, they are a frequent events on our planet. Most anyone gets to see at least one total eclipse in hir lifetime without traveling a great distance.

Now the dumb idea that I expressed at the beginning of this thread is that for extraterrestrials Earth's solar eclipse with a moon that neatly (for the time being) covers it's sun, is a quite rare event, and so possibly somewhat of an interstellar tourist attraction. My UFO enthusiast friends would have me believe we are being visited by extraterrestrials all the time. So wouldn't they want to see this event that is rare for them?

I thank the people who have pointed out to me that solar eclipses are not rare. You are correct!

Nothing to see here. Move along!

If you see one, you've seen 'em all. Going to Earth to see an eclipse is so last millennia.
