Work from Home setup issues

I wanted to get a SSD to run Windows on alongside my late 2012 iMac, mostly because of World of Warcraft no longer running well on Macs since the patch in January. I did a combination of Boot Camp and some Wine program, and while it works great for playing the game, Windows doesn't have access to speakers or microphone. It can't even see them.

Do I need to wipe the SSD, redownload Windows onto it and hope that the correct drivers get loaded this time for running with sound? Given that my 'essential services' job involves taking calls, not having sound is a real drawback.... and I need to start working as soon as possible. The stimulus is practically nothing.

I'm not clear about your setup but does this help?

Just to piggy back on what Wudang posted, I found this help article as well from Windows.

I'm not sure what your computer savvy level is like but it appears there are a few different options to try on there.

The iMac is late 2012, Intel, the USB SSD is 1TB and contains only Windows files. Boot Camp wanted to load the Windows onto a partition of the iMac's hard drive, which does have plenty of space but I didn't want Windows touching my Mac. I made a ISO of Windows, then had Boot Camp download everything but not make the partition, and Wine made the Windows OS onto the SSD.

I would try it again. I think you can make a bootable Windows* drive using Disk Utility rather than boot camp.

*Assuming the Windows ISO has everything
