Well the big news in my area of Southend is that we recently had a pride march with the local theme park hosting a drag act. This act involved some thrusting and an angle grinder. Seems to have left some of my fellow locals in a bit of a tizzy and the theme park owner refusing to participate in any more events.

In other news, a local produced some handy tips on how to spend only £10 on your weekly shop at Aldi.

In more local news, the leader of Ireland's main neo-nazi party Justin Barrett (former head of the ~~Hitler~~ Jugend Defence anti-abortion group until the rest of the anti-abortionistas got sick of his constant travelling to neo-nazi events) reported €400,000 of gold stolen that was being held for his "political party" the National Party. When Gardaí investigated they quickly satisfied themselves that the gold was properly held and there was likely no crime committed.

Why does a bunch of neo-nazis have a gold hoard I hear you ask? Because they think that the government is going to collapse taking the Euro with it and they'll be high on the hog with a (quite small) amount of gold come the apocalypse. This despite gold likely not having any value for hundreds of years after society collapse, given it's general uselessness as a substance for making tools with.

Rough sleeper used shopping trolley to dump fridge in Middlesbrough

What's the point of fining a rough sleeper £200. If he had that kind of money he wouldn't be rough sleeping.

It could be argued he just moved something already dumped.

The guy has now been charged with attempted murder, along with several other charges relating to assault and possession of a weapon intended to cause harm.

A close friend of mine crosses Fellows Oval every day to get lunch, and she was lucky enough to have been delayed at a separate appointment, and wasn't there at the time of the attack. She would have been, if not for that delay.

The airport peelers aren't that well resourced and are a private company (which explains the first bit). Wouldn't be too surprised they're worried that the job will be taken over by the proper peelers.

A close friend of mine crosses Fellows Oval every day to get lunch, and she was lucky enough to have been delayed at a separate appointment, and wasn't there at the time of the attack. She would have been, if not for that delay.

Man arrested in Melbourne over 1999 cold case murder of Canberra woman Irma Palasics Quote: Irma Palasics died following a home invasion in November 1999. A 68-year-old man was taken into custody in the Melbourne suburb of Rowville this morning, and is set to be charged with murder. Police are still looking for another man over Irma's death. A $500,000 reward remains on offer for information.
