Carrot Flower King's beloved local Tory MP was on the radio this morning, unable to say Truss would be in charge next week instead saying all are focus on the job of trying to change the national topic of conversation away from Truss's incompetence (bit of paraphrasing on my part). To be fair, removing Tory members from the process of picking a PM has to be a system improvement albeit not as good as removing Tory MPs from it as well.

Just in case anyone is in any doubt about exactly how dim Truss is, I have lifted the following from a piece on The Guardian today:

"The current government is widely derided by nature lovers, and sorely lacking environmental credentials. I don't know why journalists are reporting the pound is rising/falling. The important short-term parameter is volatility. An increase of a cent or two for five minutes means absolutely nothing.
