What does it say? That you are aligned with a mutated wolf and nihilism against my special envoy Atreyu and existence as such? Thanks for pointing it out.

If true... this should be very concerning.

We've effectively got Russian intelligence in charge of security for US embassies.

Putin has that ability in spades. But then there’s not a lot of psychology needed since he has Trump by the short and curlies.

One thing I've noticed is that these Russian sites are calling comments like this anti-Russian bigotry. In the same vein Italian-Americans call references to the Mafia.

I see it more as a puppy rolling over, exposing its throat and belly, and piddling on itself. That's our strong man, our tough-guy President.

The difference is that real puppies eventually mature. Well, that and they're not corrupt and treasonous.

Here's another one who's complaining about what the author of an article I've posted some pages ago called "soft power suicide":

When Russians stopped believing in the Western media

A headline published by The New York Times read “Kremlin Cash Behind Billionaire’s Twitter and Facebook Investments”; a story by the Guardian began, “Two Russian state institutions with close ties to Vladimir Putin funded substantial stakes in Twitter and Facebook”; and according to the LA Times, Milner’s investments “had Kremlin ties.” Russian journalist Oleg Kashin, perhaps best known in the West for surviving a near fatal assault by thugs in November 2010, is a prolific columnist whose work has appeared repeatedly in The New York Times and the Russian edition of Deutsche Welle. On November 8, in an op-ed at the news site Republic, Kashin responded to the Western media’s coverage of Russia over the past year and a half. With permission, Meduza is making Kashin’s text available in English.

Meduza is a website close to the Nawalny camp, extremely critical of Putin's policies on a rather high quality level.

There’s no name for this reason, and it’s considerably hard to articulate the logic without slipping into the same rhetoric that someone like RT chief editor Margarita Simonyan and many others have used to build their careers. In Russia, we’ve repeated too often and for too long that the Western mainstream media is wrong most of the time. When it comes to this subject, it’s become difficult to find the right words, without becoming a voluntary accomplice to Russia’s propagandists and counter-propagandists.

And yet the main problem with the allegations against Milner are his very accusers. Those writing that the Kremlin acted through him are the same outlets and individuals that have already demonstrated convincingly that anything they publish about Russia is, as a general rule, total garbage. The image of Putin’s Russia constructed by Western and, above all, American media outlets over the past 18 months shocks even the most anti-Putin reader in Russia.

Maybe separately all the stories about Russia wouldn’t trigger this response, but it’s different when looking at the coverage combined: Moscow suburban “power broker” Natalia Veselniktskaya playing the part of Putin’s agent, Dr. Rodchenkov’s tales of test tubes for doped urine, singer Emin Agalarov acting in the Kremlin’s interests, and Russian ads on social media — bought for pennies compared to the millions spent by the Clinton and Trump campaigns — that supposedly influenced American voters. There’s more, of course, and in this context the claims that Milner was working on behalf of the Kremlin become a joke by default — where there’s no need to refute or dispute anything, and the only thing Russians can do is laugh. [...]

Worth to read in full to get how (naively) admiring of US corporate media he used to be.

They stopped believing western media when Vlad took over independent news outlets and put them under state control.

According to PBS's excellent Putin's Revenge Pts I&II

https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/frontline/film/putins-revenge/

Transcript here:

https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/frontline/f...ge/transcript/

Quote:
VLADIMIR KARA-MURZA:
He sent armed operatives from the prosecutor general’s service and the tax police to raid the offices of Media Most, the parent company of NTV, which was at that time the largest independent media holding in Russia.

JULIA IOFFE:
Gusinsky is imprisoned. And while he’s in jail, one of Putin’s lieutenants comes to visit him in jail and says, “You know, you could get out this mess if you sign over NTV.” Gusinsky eventually does that, hands over NTV to a Kremlin- friendly oligarch.

JOHN BEYRLE, U.S. Amb. to Russia, 2008-12:
In doing that, Putin made clear the broadcast media, which is how most Russians get their news, was no longer going to be outsourced. This was going to be a state-run operation. And it’s remained that way throughout Putin’s term.

NARRATOR:
He had seized control of the media. Now Putin turned his attention to making Russia powerful again.

WikiLeaks was pushing some interesting talking points on Don Jr.

Quote:
Wikileaks didn’t write again until Election Day, November 8, 2016. “Hi Don if your father ‘loses’ we think it is much more interesting if he DOES NOT conceed [sic] and spends time CHALLENGING the media and other types of rigging that occurred—as he has implied that he might do,” Wikileaks wrote at 6:35pm, when the idea that Clinton would win was still the prevailing conventional wisdom. (As late as 7:00pm that night, FiveThirtyEight, a trusted prognosticator of the election, gave Clinton a 71 percent chance of winning the presidency.) *Wikileaks insisted that contesting the election results would be good for Trump’s rumored plans to start a media network should he lose the presidency. “The discussion can be transformative as it exposes media corruption, primary corruption, PAC corruption, etc.,” Wikileaks wrote.
Fits with intelligence community’s analysis of what Putin was trying to accomplish by meddling (aside from getting Trump elected).

I can only hope your post was somehow tongue-in-cheek, otherwise you totally missed the point. This is what's called the fifth column complaining. Very pro-western "liberal" people who read the NYT and WaPo in English or even write in it find themselves almost in loss of words so they don't have to agree with the likes of the head of RT about the junk spread about their country in these rags.

So...to sum up for my less enlightened friends who ask me, "What is going on?"...how's this?
  • When Access Hollywood played the "Grab 'em by the pussy" tape, Wikileaks - within the hour of the "grab 'em" tape's release - released hacked e-mails from John Podesta (Hillary's campaign manager)
  • How did Wikileaks get the e-mails? From Russian hackers.
  • Wikileaks sent an email to Don Jr. requesting that he tweet about John Podesta's email hacking.
  • Fifteen minutes later, Don Sr. tweeted about John Podesta's email hacking.

Purely coincidental. Still a microscopically small chance of no collusion.

I am sure some in the Trump Adminsteation would like to take him for a fishing trip on Lake Tahoe.

Whoops. Caught again.

This part is amusing. And indicative of their attitude.
Quote:
Soon after people noted the dubious origin of the photographs, the defence ministry deleted its tweets, and removed the photographs from the corresponding Facebook posts. However, a cached version of the post is available that shows the post with the photographs.
It's not like they don't realize that anything they put up on the web is going to be instantly saved by dozens if not hundreds of separate, independent organizations who follow what they publish.

This leaves few alternatives to the idea that they don't really give a damn whether they are caught out in their lies or not. They've done the damage they want to do.

I don't really understand why they even bother to delete them.

This part is a bit concerning, though.

The defence ministry told Russian news agencies on Tuesday evening it was “carrying out checks on a civilian employee who mistakenly added photographs to the ministry’s statement.”
Hopefully that's just more smoke they are blowing, but it might mean that some poor, clueless schmuck is going to get crucified for the glory of Mother Russia.

For extra bonus points; "Look! We've uncovered a Western disinformation agent working as a mole right in our very own defense ministry!!!"

I disagree, actually. If they didn't care, or it was intentional, they wouldn't have deleted the posts.

They're always going to have people like Childlike Empress to defend their honor even in the face of intentional deception. If it were intentional, they could just leave them up and let us plebs fight each other over their alleged accuracy.

Dude, Occam's Razor says that Zuckerberg smuggled those images from his sticky phone into that post, just because he was losing again.

One of the reasons his dossier was taken seriously in Washington in 2016 was Steele’s reputation in the US for producing reliable reports on Russia, according to Harding’s book.

Between 2014 and 2016, he authored more than a hundred reports on Russia and Ukraine, which were commissioned by private clients but shared widely within the state department and passed across the desks of the secretary of state, John Kerry, and the assistant secretary Victoria Nuland, who led the US response to the annexation of Crimea and the covert invasion of eastern Ukraine.

The sources for those reports were the same as those quoted in the dossier on Trump, which included allegations that the Kremlin had personally compromising material on the US president including sex tapes recorded during a trip to Moscow in 2013, and that Trump and his associates actively colluded with Russian intelligence to influence the election in his favour.

Years earlier, Steele shared the results of his investigation of the global football organisation, Fifa, with a senior FBI official in Rome that let to an investigation by US federal prosecutors, and ultimately the arrest of seven Fifa officials.

Name one firm that Putin won't be able to "influence".
