He doesn't "hate" science"; he just doesn't care about anything that doesn't benefit him personally.

It's far from just Trump. The Republicans have been the party of creationism and global warming denial for a long time.

Not crazy. More like a narcissistic, value free, reality show person who is only interested in what will build his brand. In his narrow area of focus he had been effective. It's a mistake to underestimate him.

True, but I wish I could truly say that the Democrats are a party guided by science. Lawyers and business majors understand the concept of "debate" only in terms of points-scoring without much regards for what's actually true.

Never could stand debating societies.

Scientist: Unfortunately, that's not what the science says.

Trump: Bah, scientists, what do they know?
What he actually did was blatantly lie about the science. This is his exchange recently with Wade Crowfoot, head of the California’s Natural Resources Agency.
“It’ll start getting cooler,” Trump replied. “You just — you just watch.”
“I wish science agreed with you,” Crowfoot said.
“I don’t think science knows, actually,” Trump responded.
ETA: Er, um, I sorta misread your post. But anyway, the above is his direct quote which agrees with your post . . .

I was being sarcastic. I don't think he's 'crazy'. I think he's a very dangerous sociopath. I don't underestimate him at all.
