The video title says "magic". Absent some reason to believe that chemistry is involved, it seems more likely to assume this is a sleight-of-hand demonstration and that "energy drinks" are used as a distraction.

It's all bollox.

Oh, it is literally in the blurb under the vid;

"It's so fun to do parody videos like this, and more are on the way!"

so, the answer is no.

Thanks. Guess I could have looked online a bit more.

Darn. Rubber eggs looked so cool.

Pity. Thought it was a bit strange. Glad that it is all a trick.

Rubber eggs?

Is this the old trick of putting an egg in a mild acid? You can do that with vinegar, IIRC. Leeches the calcium and makes them soft.

Of course, I didnít watch the video either, so take it for what itís worth

I find it hard to believe that for even one second you considered it remotely "real".

I'm afraid your sceptic card has been revoked, please hand it in at your nearest bigfoot rest home.

I watched a couple minutes of the video before reading beyond the first post. I wasn't the least bit fooled, and it's a bit humorous but very obvious. Can't believe anyone would believe even one of these stunts.

Oh, it's fake all right.

I'm not sure if it's intentional, but at 2:20 you'll see a botched transition, where a hammer lying in a pool of Energy Drink gets substituted for a hammer with a rubber handle.

And yes, the chemistry doesn't work like that. As has been mentioned, you can soften an egg by soaking in vinegar (and probably Energy Drink, too - anybody care to try?), but it takes days or weeks to work. These instantaneous changes are just silly.

Really? Because you did a good job of signaling that it was pointless clickbait.

Bollocks.

Tricks and sleight of hand. The fun thing is all the people who will try this themselves.

Skeptic beware:

Folding hammer trick

Folding bread trick

Fake, stretchy fried egg trick

No energy drink needed, just the right props!

O.M.G.

This video caused an argument (not a major one, just a spat) between my wife, a medical doctor and her aunt. The aunt posted this vid to Facebook with a warning: ďLook at what energy drinks do to your insides! Ē. My wife made a simple comment: ďTia, that video isnít real. Itís just magic tricks.Ē That devolved into a back and forth where the aunt said doctors donít know anything and my wife said aunts are gullible...it was funny.
