Usually American tourists are just the topic of funny or frustrating stories. Even for other tourists.

When I hear an American accent in a Berlin bar nowadays (and in the last coupla years), I generally order a couple of decent schnapps, head over, give one to the accent holder and say "My commiserations!".

Every time I get a nod, a headshake, a "**** Trump" or similar, then we move on. Seems MAGA supporters don't travel much, at least to the enlightened areas of the globe.

Why would Trump supporters go to Germany, anyway? It's entirely populated with Muslims in no-go zones.

What are the reactions in the countries where trump is popular? Russia, Israel, and the Philippines?

“When people get in line that have absolutely no right to vote and they go around in circles. Sometimes they go to their car, put on a different hat, put on a different shirt, come in and vote again. Nobody takes anything. It’s really a disgrace what’s going on,”

“If you buy a box of cereal – you have a voter ID,”

"The inner workings of the Mueller investigation are a total mess, they have found no collusion and have gone absolutely nuts. They are screaming and shouting at people, horribly threatening them to come up with the answers they want."

Seriously, Der Trumpenführer is losing it big time. Tens of thousands of voters are able to vote twice because they change their hat? You need voter ID to buy Froot Loops now? The Special Counsel's investigation operates like the Trump White House?

I think he is on the verge of a breakdown.

This is what I've found, too. I was in Europe in June 2016 and May 2018 for several weeks each. Those who brought up Trump were uniformly bewildered by how such a man could be elected as POTUS. The only answer I could give was "stupidity" and to remind them that the majority of US voters did not vote for him.

In fact, the more democratic-sounding words in their name, the less democratic.

Enter the People's Democratic Republic of Korea...

Yep

The "German Democratic Republic" (East Germany) was a Puppet Dictatorship governed from the Soviet Union.

The "Democratic People's Republic of Korea" (North Korea) is a Hereditary Dictatorship.

For a normal person, this kind of nonsensical and delusional ranting would certainly indicate someone having a melt down. Sadly, for this Piece Of Totally Useless S*** it's just another day in the White House.

I would love that. I can't think of a person who deserves an avalanche of humiliation more than Trump.

Were I a GOP politician, once I'd stopped crying every time I looked at myself in a mirror* I'd be planning how to extricate myself from Trump. He is going to keep making personal enemies including former allies as he blames everyone else for his own shortcomings. He is going to get increasingly erratic as things don't go his way. His cognitive decline is going to become clearer, and that will make it even harder for him to hide his vile personality. With the House and Senate on board, he's had it easy, and is already struggling. With the House against him, he could easily make himself properly unpopular.

*wondering where I'd lost any claim to principles, or patriotism, or responsibility

Just enough humiliation, of the sort he can't deny, might just snap him back to reality. Then he'd retire on a farm somewhere and live the rest of his life in peace.

I see Lindsey Graham is continuing his bid for the AG position; he's now saying he would start an investigation into Hillary Clinton. Graham is obviously courting Trump's obsession with HRC. Don't the Republicans ever get tired of going after HRC? They've tried several times and always fail.

The Dems keep winning more seats in the House - now 230-198 with 6 not called.

DEM 54,490,306 votes (51.8%)
GOP 48,947,915 votes (46.5%)

Its turned into rout

I've seen it pointed out that claiming to know the inner workings of the Mueller probe is not a smart move by Trump. Especially this soon after appointing Whitaker.

She makes a good distraction for the less intelligent members of their voting base (which these days seem to be all republicans).

I have nothng but complete and total contempt for Linsdey Graham. He represents the worst side of Politics:Somebody who has been so corrupted in his lust for power and office that he will betray any principals he once had. He has gone from a critic of Trump to his Toady. Truly disgusting.

I agree. His turn has been shameful. I'm wondering if Flake will stick to his statement that he will not vote on any of Trump's judicial nominees until they protect Mueller.

Sailed, circumnavigated the globe, and return laden with silk and spices.

"The inner workings of the Trump administration are a total mess, they have gone absolutely nuts. They are screaming and shouting at people, horribly threatening them to come up with the answers they want."

Fixed that for them.

That might have been a relevant threat 2 months ago when the Senate was working to approve Drunky McRapeface and he might have had influence. Now that the pressure is off, the Republicans can either wait until the new congress is sworn in (with the possibility of additional republican senators), or McConnell can advance the nominations (even if not approved in committee) and Pence can be a tiebreaker.

Hate to say it, but Flake is no anti-Trump republican moderate. He is a scumbag pretending to be a rational individual yet doing everything he can to support the Republican cause.
