Why not?
Objective reality and locality obviously exist at the scales we experience the universe. Even if they are not physically real at quantum scales, they are still emergent properties and very real to us.

It's quite possible that none of the physical dimensions we experience are real. Space could merely be emergent properties of something much simpler and more fundamental.

I quite like Stephen Wolfram's idea that the universe is made up of nothing but nodes and connections evolving according to simple rules step by step, no time, no space as we know it.
He claims that starting with noting but nodes and connections -IOW a graph or network- and letting it evolve, at larger scales structures representing particles are formed and they behave according to the rules of GR and SR.
Apparently Relativity arises naturally in this network and the relevant equations can be derived directly from first principles.

What Is Spacetime, Really?

Nothing, but there is a history extending back to the beginning of Quantum Mechanics how the connection got it's start.

Quantum Mysticism: Gone but Not Forgotten

Does mysticism have a place in quantum mechanics today, or is the idea that the mind plays a role in creating reality best left to philosophical meditations? Harvard historian Juan Miguel Marin argues the former - not because physicists today should account for consciousness in their research, but because knowing the early history of the philosophical ideas in quantum mechanics is essential for understanding the theory on a fundamental level.

More likely, it's just that our perception of it is incorrect.
