You'd need a set of three like they have in department stores, so they could admire themselves from all angles.

Meanwhile, on this side of the world, we await with bated breath whether Kimmie will show up or leave Donnie standing at the altar. Trump's formal schedule has him first appearing in a joint press conference with the South Korean president in about thirty minutes (13:05 So.Korea time). I suppose he might tell us then if he's off for his tryst with Dear Kim. (Even if it's going to be happening, he'll probably play it for ratings... "We'll see.')

I'd love for NoKo to troll him. When he's posing with binoculars looking over the DMZ to North Korea, have a big balloon of L'il Kim float up and blast "Bazinga!" over the loudspeakers.

A local report out of Japan says that Kim is probably going to attend. Donnie hasn't said anything nasty all week and seems to be in surrender mode, so Kim calculates he can get something out of making him look good.

Well, the Photo Op is on. Fox are wetting themselves in excitement. Rasmussen is already preparing tomorrow's poll showing him as +5% without even making a phonecall.

Oh for pity's sake, NBC interrupted SNL for a friggin' Trump photo-op. Jerks.

I'm going to bed, I'm not going to watch that crap. I hope they get a slew of complaints.

Leaving South Korea after a wonderful meeting with Chairman Kim Jong Un. Stood on the soil of North Korea, an important statement for all, and a great honor!

Yes, for a "private summit" with Lunchbox. It must be like two hippos rutting in there.

See what's possible if you just bury your nose far enough up the rectum of hostile world leaders ?

Trump goes running halfway around the world, while his paramour waits cat-like for his suitor to breathlessly come to him. Past Presidents and our (erstwhile) allies must be dying inside at this shameless display. Oh how far has the US fallen. Trump's just giving it away, like a love-struck virgin.

Fox knows how to put on a show. Trump is just the "talent" (which is not, in this context, as complimentary a term as one might think). All he needs to do is find his marks and stand on them so he's in frame.

On a more serious note, Kim's home audience must by now be pretty convinced that Kim (and, by extension, North Korea itself) are major players on the world stage.

Quite. Kim has nothing to lose, and can claim he gained anything he wants to.

Do you think they ever doubted it?

I don't think this stunt is going to help Trump but others disagree.

Meanwhile Trump's new press secretary got into a physical fight with NK security officials.

Trump's base has no doubt already forgotten it happened if they registered it at all. No upside, no downside, a nothingburger.

Of course to those of us outside the Trump base, yet another gift.

It was great being with Chairman Kim Jong Un of North Korea this weekend. We had a great meeting, he looked really well and very healthy - I look forward to seeing him again soon....

....In the meantime, our teams will be meeting to work on some solutions to very long term and persistent problems. No rush, but I am sure we will ultimately get there!

Once again President Trump shows that he is the master deal maker who bestrides the world of diplomacy like a Colossus

Quote:
North Korea has accused the US of being "hell-bent on hostile acts", despite a recent agreement between the two countries to resume nuclear talks.

Pyongyang's delegation to the United Nations said on Wednesday that the US was "obsessed with sanctions".

This comes days after the countries' two leaders held a historic meeting in the heavily fortified demilitarised zone which divides the two Koreas.

He can get The President of the United States to fly half way across the globe and waddle into North Korea. I say he is a major player on the World stage.

I guess hiking across the border didn't work as well as DJT thought. Perhaps if he brings his kneepads and chapstick next time?

https://edition.cnn.com/2019/07/24/p...ile/index.html

Trip to Asia Net Results: Zero. He got no concessions out of China and they've cheerfully announced that the talks will start again next week. He kissed Kim's ass and got a photo op but nothing else, now his new BFF is proving to be as petulant as Trump and is crying for attention by making photo ops in submarines and launching missiles into the Sea of Japan.

Meanwhile, in the real world China-Russia think so little of the ability of South Korea to do anything that they openly challenge them with jet fighters.

Kim Jong Un and North Korea tested 3 short range missiles over the last number of days. These missiles tests are not a violation of our signed Singapore agreement, nor was there discussion of short range missiles when we shook hands. There may be a United Nations violation, but..

.....Chairman Kim does not want to disappoint me with a violation of trust, there is far too much for North Korea to gain - the potential as a Country, under Kim Jong Un’s leadership, is unlimited. Also, there is far too much to lose. I may be wrong, but I believe that......

....Chariman Kim has a great and beautiful vision for his country, and only the United States, with me as President, can make that vision come true. He will do the right thing because he is far too smart not to, and he does not want to disappoint his friend, President Trump!

Trump Tweets

Please tell me this isn't a real tweet. Jesus ******* christ

actually, NKorea tested 3 salvos of missiles in the last week.
But I'm glad that Trump told them last year that that was totally fine with him.

Well ya know, Trump is just this really agreeable dude who is trying so hard to do what is best for his buddy and all those wonderful North Korean people. It's ok to nuke Japan or South Korea just as long as the missiles can't actually reach the continental US.

If a meeting happens it would be a huge propaganda coup for North Korea.
Also a great boost domestically for the personality cult that the citizenry of NK has been psychologically engineered to become.

Trump really loves that guy. It's insane how much ass he kisses.

In the real world, Kim has such a great vision for his country that his troops are running away!

Quote:
A North Korean soldier crossed the heavily fortified Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) late Wednesday night and defected to South Korean forces, South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said Thursday.

The Washington Post reported that the unidentified soldier made the crossing just before midnight, and was detained along the Imjin River by South Korean forces.
I can picture it, this guy running across the DMZ screaming, "Kim Jong Un has a great vision for this country!!!!!!"
