I totally agree this is about Baby Trump's image. But they do have an excuse, drones aren't allowed to fly at that level either, are they?

Yeah, I saw that. 'Stylized' is rather generous. It looks basically nothing like the actual flag other than containing some horizontal red stripes. That isn't the US flag, and is in no way a desecration.

Want to guess how many Trump products contain a representation of the flag? But that's almost incidental, because that flag code gets ignored a million different ways every single day. By people on all parts of the political spectrum. Because it's a flag. It's a piece of cloth.

Chris,

Obama didn't make the flag, nor did he sell it.
As you mentioned, his campaign sold screen prints of it.

According to you, you can't print a caricature picture of the US flag.

Yeesh, if you have to dig this deep and still find nothing but a copy of a copy, you really have gone off the deep end.

They have no shame left. Then again, I didn't expect them to. Trump is a bully. Naturally a lot of his followers are going to be of the same ilk.

I think the mistake we're making is tteating the trumpkins like rational actors who can and should be debated with using reason. Funny thing, I'm rediscovering Harry Potter through audio books, and an image just popped into my head of the reasonable Hermonie trying to explain to Crabbe and Goyle that Malfoy is a bully. As if they don't know.

Perhaps a bit of a "childish" metaphor, but that's how I see the trumpkins. They know Trump is a bully. They just enjoy playing the role of the brutes flanking Malfoy, flexing their muscles and snickering when the griffindors are provoked. And every time I see people responding to posts like "but bummur desecrate flag too!", i feel like Hermonie as she keeps walking, whispering "ignore them, ignore them" under her breath.

The question was asked, I answered. I cite the facts and sometimes they disagree with someone's opinion. If one doesn't want to know they shouldn't ask.

"Wonderful speech"? It was basically the presidential version of a listicle article on some click-bait site. "Remember these 100 Great Things about America? Number 53 will leave you speechless!"

The crowd couldn't even shout "USA! USA!" correctly.

And I'm pretty sure about half the people he mentioned as Great Americans would have punched him in his stupid face if they had ever met him.

Because he was told repeatedly by his minions and handlers that if he deviated even one word from his written speech as they provided, it would mean the end of his presidential re-election ambitions. Which are on shaky enough ground as it is. And even then he couldn't do it. Space Force?? I mean, seriously, dude?

Hope all USAians had a great 4th, not just Trumpites.

It's really sad that I couldn't even watch the 4th of July celebrations from DC because just seeing that disgusting excuse for a POTUS makes me want to puke. I thought I disliked Dubya, but Trump makes him look almost good.

I was going to start a new thread, but this thread will do. When was the declaration of independence signed? If you said 4 July 1776, then this video would say you are wrong. The channel is "Today I Found Out" and is serious.

But I would say to you, enjoy it while you can, Trump is going to be short lived.

Yeah what a brilliant speech. I particularly liked the bit where he talked about that little known aspect of the Revolutionary Wars. You know, the airports? Surprising the British lost when they had such air power to deploy. Or was it the Yanks who were sending off fighters to strafe the ground forces?

In other words the guy is a moron and even when he reads someone else's script to keep him reasonably sane he still wanders off into the swamp that is his unlearned and untutored mind. But you think that's is wonderful, you go Chris, you got to be you.

You've been saying the highlighted since Trump's inauguration. It hasn't happened. Trump has a ceiling, and that's where he has resided from pretty much day 1, statistical uncertainty notwithstanding.

And?
Do you understand the phrase "stylised rendition"?

It wasn't the flag.

If you're going down that road then most political campaigns in the US would fall foul.

This is a completely different beast to Trump humping the flag.

Republicans get the presumption of innocence (against all evidence).
Democrats get the presumption of guilt (without any evidence).

It's a well-established pattern.

Indeed, his words on the air forces of the revolutionary war and the capturingof air ports were amazing.

The breadth and depth of his knowledge on the subject is illustrative of the level of regard he has for the military:

Quote:
"The Continental Army suffered a bitter winner at Valley Forge, found glory across the waters of the Delaware and seized victory from Cornwallis of Yorktown. Our Army manned the air, it ran the ramparts, it took over the airports, it did everything it had to do."

Thinking that strange "manned the air" bit over. I'm sure speech was supposed to be "manned the ramparts"... It wasn't written by an illiterate stooge, merely read by one. Rather than having the sense to stop and correct himself he went for alliteration and came up with "manned the air, rammed the ramparts".

Alternate theory: Who knew Sam Adams and Patrick Henry could fly?

We tend to think that senile dementia is characterised by good minds decaying, and we rightly find that tragic and sad.

But what if it happens to a weak, dull, degenerate mind?
