I just returned from a trip where I travelled 1000 years into the past and I was able to conclusively determine that time travel threads are just plain silly threads.
By the way, does anyone want this Gutenberg Bible that I happened to pick up while on my trip? |

I've just returned from Rigel 6, 2,000 light years away only to find that my library book was overdue. I'm setting up a fund raising page to help raise the 1bn credit fine.
This is 3015 right? |

I clicked the link and this is a summary of the "evidence" (and no, there is no "amazing video"):
The Philadelphia Experiment, which the article says is a story which

Finally, and most amusingly, is the Moberley-Jourdain incident. Two Edwardian ladies claimed to have met Marie Antoinette and her courtiers on a day trip to Versailles. The "evidence" presented is the first part of the Wikipedia entry. Strangely, they omitted this part:

Did you actually read it before you posted it? Did you expect anything other than ridicule, especially as the author himself appears not to believe it? |

Exactly. If the OP has something to say, let him say it. Random link-spam is a waste of our time.
Yeah, the Fentz story was debunked long ago. We discussed that story in this thread. As you say it's long been known to be untrue. |

And for anyone who's interested Victor Goddard became disorientated in a storm while passing over the Firth of Forth and was off course. He actually overflew a different airfield (Renfrew Aerodrome, home to the Scottish Flying Club). The details of his encounter don't make sense; 13FTS didn't operate the aircraft Goddard described, and certainly not painted yellow. There was no corroborating evidence, just Goddard’s account, first published after his retirement in 1951.

More seriously, why did you start this thread?
Was there some aspect of these stories you wanted to discuss? Did you post these stories so we could laugh at them? Did you post these stories because they sound believable? Did you post these stories because you wanted us to debunk them? Did you post these stories because you believe you have time travelled? Did you post these stories to increase traffic to that website? |

But, as I pointed out, the article basically debunks itself.
I'll ask again: did you actually read it? Additionally, as I seem to be the only poster so far who does actually seem to have read it, how about addressing my points? You claim to want a debunking: I provided it. It doesn't seem too much to ask that you read and acknowledge what I've done. |

Nonsense. They don't create any legitimate questions in science or history.
That's not to say questions aren't created. Those who insist that such stories are examples of the supernatural or the paranormal trump up quite a number of "unanswered" questions that, when examined, are set atop a vast shaky pudding of unstated assumption and conjecture. They exist to remain suspiciously "unanswered" and thereby produce the illusion of interest. Further unanswered questions arise when the proponents are unable to name any testable or rational principle upon which their interpretations can be based. This latter set of questions is the only one that matters. |
