Trump absolutely knows who she is. Watching him introducing people he seems to have minimal issues with names/faces. He's a salesman and those are fundamental skills. Too bad more of his cognition isn't as functional.

It's reasonable to me that her attorneys would try to do this.

And the reason they give for trying to do this also seems reasonable to me. In fact I'm not sure I'd want it any other way, regardless of who stood accused, or what they stood accused of.

Again, that seems reasonable to me. It is the duty of the defense attorney to consider every legal gambit that might possibly help their client, and throw as many such gambits at the wall as they think are worth trying. Obviously the judge is going to shoot some of them down, and sanction the attorneys if they get carried away, but that's part of the process. I think society enjoys a net benefit from having both parts of this process.

It is. Any object which you hang has been hung *except* a person who had been executed by hanging; they have been hanged. And I've never known why, but that's what the teacher said.

I remain curious to know if there's any interesting reason for the convention.
