Nothing compared to Thomas "Dragon" Hughes' 12-foot Marlboro Red-smoking Bigfoot chief from Texas! His Bigfoot wife even left him a turtle shell on Mother's Day, proving that Bigfoot not only has a soft side, but also follows the annual celebrations of their human relatives.
Craptozoology is an endless source of fun-giving. |

Bigfooters Eating Pie
An old 12-foot 'Squatch went walking out one dark and windy day Upon a ridge he smoked a cig as he went along his way When all at once a mighty bunch of camouflaged slobs he saw A-plowing through the rugged woods and eating 'dogs and slaw Their night-vision goggles were swinging and their toecaps were made of steel Their guns were black and shiny and their hot breath he could feel A bolt of fear went through him as they blundered up the path For he saw the Footers coming hard and he heard their mimicking cry Yippie yi ooh Yippie yi yay Bigfooters eating pie Their faces gaunt, their eyes were blurred, their shirts all soaked with sweat He's marching hard to avoid that herd, but he ain't ditched 'em yet 'Cause they're gonna 'Foot forever on that range up in the woods Dropping Good 'n' Plenty's and munching on baked goods Yippie yi ooh Yippie yi yay Bigfooters eating pie As the 'Footers moped on by him he vanished into the terrain If you want to snap a pic of him when out a-Squatchin' on this range Then 'Footer change your average Kodak into a quality thermal FLIR Then you can catch your Blobsquatch and you'll no longer be a square Yippie yi ooh Yippie yi yay Bigfooters eating pie Bigfooters eating pie Bigfooters eating pie |

A person named Happy Camper on the bff cut-n-pasted one of my posts here, and posted it in the Cascades bff thread without proper attribution. I do not post there; if Happy Camper reads this, I ask him/her to either properly link any quotes of mine (or others) from here, or cease using them.
Thanks. |

So this week my seven year tenure at the BFF came to and end. I'm surprised it didn't happen many years sooner, but the ban hammer has fallen.
Another member posted a video by Bigfoot enthusiast Henry May reviewing a skeptical PGF documentary in which he has a meltdown. I in turn posted another video by May in which he clearly seems either inebriated or medicated which was not well received by the administration. It's just as well. Like social media, I generally use one forum. At the BFF I posted almost exclusively in the PGF section which is not viewable to the public, which meant I was one of a few skeptics amongst a handful of fanatical foaming at the mouth believers. C'est la vie. If anyone is interested, Henry May's video can be seen here. It's interesting if only for the wow, look at him go factor... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONGvOAhbtHw |

Prior to my banning I was given a two week suspension under what to me was amusing circumstances. Bigfoothunter Bill Miller was asked by another member if he had firsthand knowledge of the soil conditions of Blue Creek Mountain, the site of a Ray Wallace hoax at the end of August 1967.
This event was what was said by Roger Patterson as the reason to come to Bluff Creek in October 1967. Miller responded that he had firsthand knowledge from the witnesses who were there and the photos taken. Failblogdotorg understanding of what constitutes firsthand knowledge not withstanding, Miller has a particular penchant for linking dictionary definitions to very simple words for people he is debating with. When he last decided to Merriam-Webster another member, I responded that a person with hilariously wrong understanding of what firsthand knowledge is should probably not be throwing dictionaries at people. I was told that was an attack on Miller and off two weeks. Thin skin is par for the course. It's inevitable. In my case I wanted to be in the thick of fundamentalists where they feel most comfortable and formidable. That I lasted seven years being considered the official face of skepticism on that forum is quite amazing to me. |

Anyway, after a long time in the trenches, I'm happy to be back and looking forward to catching up with some members I've missed. Very happy to see William Parcher, LTC, The Shrike, HarryHenderson, Drewbot, Jodie, and Dmaker.
Is Correa Neto long gone? |

I wonder if that might be my fate shortly. I'm currently on a two week suspension for demonstrating how easy it is to create a fake news prank to help a member understand that the fake news prank item that WSA was touting as an example of the fecundity of Virginia was never going to produce any really, real bigfoots.
Bill Miller gets away with quite a bit of snark in his little PGF corner of the world. If you cannot tell him how the tracks were made, or you do not accept that bigfoot exists, then you are open to mockery. I really do not like that individual. DWA was forced into exile recently as well. As was the Internet tough guy, FarArcher. Now those are two decisions I can really get behind. |

Lol the inmates are running the asylum over there, with Miller currently leading the charge.
Word on the street is he was once trying to get me banned because my dabbling with wooden stompers falls under the category of hoaxing!! He's a classic case who only wants to discuss 'muh evidence' if you're in agreeance with him. If not he whips out the fecal insults and then compares preciouses with his heroes Roger and Bob -- the original hoaxers of bigfootery. Sorry to hear you're gone Kit. I got a verbal warning for a Henry May comment because I wasn't aware he has a medical condition. |

Cerv,
The PGF turns 50 in a couple of months. I think a lot of them started the celebration way too early and they want to trim down the guest list before the Bigfoot Hangover sets in. |

Thank you, and likewise. And not sure what happened to Correa Neto. Seems like he was just here. You might not remember but it was actually you who directed me here. Soon after I had quit the BFF you and I talked in Melissa's website's chat room (yes it's true) and you said the JREF was the place to be for the Bigfoot heathen and unconvinced. Been here ever since.
There's a new term for them banning you there, asshatish asshattery. I've only read a handful of your posts there over the years cause I simply never went there, but I do know that you spoke more "honest truth" to them than the next top 50 posters combined. Seriously. Your zeal for the truth was as much as theirs was for their asshattery. It's why you lasted 7 years. You were in fact in a den of freaks, the types of which you couldn't have convinced the sky is blue if they had decided to take up that cause instead. I know at least some of your thinking was "man, if these people would just listen to some reason for a second they'll finally get it." Your forgetting of course that you were using the rationality of a reasoned mind to come up with that, not the mind of a Bellevue patient who "knows what he saw". To possibly assuage some of your discontent, or not, I too was finally banned from the BFF about 3 months after I had quit and I hadn't posted even a word there since before I had. A nasty email sent to Paul Vella (forum owner then) questioning the forum leadership's intelligence and morals is what did it. The stupid really don't like being called stupid. |

I think that's about it. The suspensions and bannings are more related to reports and complaints than actual content. Bigfoot fundamentalists are by nature extremely thin-skinned. They have a need to see themselves and be regarded as soaring maverick thinkers while the rest of us are bleating sheeple walking around clueless to the awesome truth that is really, really real Bigfoots.
DWA being banned is hilarious and I'd like to hear the details. He was about the most grating 80's WWF style poseur. People like him make me seriously want to look for studies correlating fortean addiction to frequent all-caps abuse. |

Miller and also Pat Beaton. Miller can barely make a post that doesn't have a poopy cartoon and Beaton with his drunken Rosco rants.
That I won't have to eye bleach after Beaton pummels the English language with sassy, too twang for the letter "g" posts is a blessing. Miller wants you to show how tracks were made and when you get some stompers and do some experimenting, he's screaming bloody murder that you're a hoaxer. I call BS on Henry May's medical condition. While I don't doubt that he does indeed have plenty of medical issues, I was told in my banning that he has a physical disability that affects his speech. Really? A physical disability that affects his speech? It's intermittent than, is it? Henry May has a Youtube channel with countless videos of him making commentary on various BF topics. There's no physical disability affecting his speech here... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQoK4iHVHJ8 Just a whole lot of camouflage. Enjoy the gong show. I suspect the PGF section is going to become quite sleepy. |

Great to see you, Mike. Been too long. All is excellent with me.
I mentioned earlier that I generally post on one forum. I chose to post at the BFF because I wanted to be in the trenches where the fundamentalists felt they had home field advantage. Now that I am no longer at that forum, I will post only here. We'll have to set up some new rounds of the Evolution Game. |

WP has it right. In all the years I spent at the BFF dealing with the foaming fundamentalists, recognition and acknowledgement of the belief system, and also admitting to Woods & Wildmen adult fantasy roleplay was extremely rare. Off the top of my head Crowlogic is one of the only examples I can think of for someone who pulled out of the game and acknowledged playing it.
Crow was quickly banned from the BFF after dropping Woods & Wildmen because basically he did suicide by mod by then simply repeated telling other members that Bigfoot was not real and that the whole thing is a game. There is no embarrassment there whatsoever. When they are amongst each other and feel confident that the group has their back, it is the skeptic who is to be shamed. You could no more embarrass a Scientologist. They have the same cult mentality. I was quite a Morrissey fan, BTW, GS, when I was younger and I did indeed figure out he is a bit of dick. |

That was the best part. It is extremely interesting how prevalent Young Earth Creationism is in Bigfootery. Comes with the territory having a penchant for nonsense, I suppose.
I live in Sapporo. Japan is home. I go to Canada at least once a year but things have changed so much in my hometown of Victoria that it's certainly not the home I grew up in. Homelessness and drug addiction crisis. Not fun to be around. Hokkaido has all the best of both worlds of Japan and Canada without the bad of either. No tsunamis, no earthquakes, no cockroaches, no rampant crime, drug addiction and homlessness, no Me Culture tattoo covered self-absorbed hipsters. You know having been staff at the BFF what I'm talking about when I say it's good to be home here. I can talk about religion, politics and all the other scary stuff that Bigfooters are too sensitive to handle. The experiment lasted seven years but now it's over and I'm glad to be home. |

The following is a rather humourous (to me, anyway) example of the idiocy and paranoia that is typical amongst Bigfoot enthusiasts. In the following video I posted earlier, Bigfoot enthusiast Henry May is critiquing point by point a documentary which shows the Patterson-Gimlin Film as being a hoax.
When Bob Heironimus (the man claiming to be the suit wearer) begins discussing his involvement at around the 22:30 mark, Henry May pauses the video twice in which he declares that Bob Heironimus looking away from the camera or looking down is a red flag that he is lying... https://youtu.be/ONGvOAhbtHw The point at which May pauses the video and takes issue with Heironimus looking down, Heironimus is describing the suit and looking at the parts of his body he is talking about. The following is a video of Bob Gimlin describing the PGF encounter. He is looking in various directions, side to side. down... being a normal human standing outside talking... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cHffeYsIoiA This is the kind of paranoid, cult thinking that is typical of Bigfoot fundamentalists. This human behaviour that you declare is an obvious red flag of deception, do you have the thought process occur that maybe you should look at you salt of the earth hero and see if he does that very same thing? |

Hi kitakaze! Great to see you back here again. Correa seems to be gone. Some other familiar faces are also gone like RayG, Atomic Mystery Monster and probably others. River stormed out in a huff. Tube is occasional here but rare.
A while ago we had Roger Knights come back for a whirlwind of countless huge posts and self references. It was all to promote Patty and bury Heironimus. It didn't work and he's gone now. There really aren't any kind of Bigfoot debates going on here like in the old days when we had believers posting regularly. The believers have abandoned this place though I'm sure many still read. But what we mainly do now is discuss and critique Bigfootery and things that are going on. The PGF thread used to be extremely active but now it's rarely used. Hopefully you can get it going again with stuff you learned or saw at the BFF. Is there anything new and significant in the past year or so? |

RayG I keep up with on Facebook. Correa I wish I could find. Matt (Tube) and I regularly connect on Facebook also.
Roger Knights approached me personally after he came here seeking some information exchange. It was actually quite helpful to me because he was able to get me many of the PGF players contact info that I had lost when I moved to Sapporo. His main desire was to get my help to expose Bob Heironimus for the evil charlatan he believes him to be. Most of the vocal hardcore believers we are familiar with have been tumbling around in the dryer with me in the PGF section at the BFF. The BFF made that section off limits to the public so as to encourage more people to join the forum as that is where most of the action is. The General Discussion section there I rarely posted in as it was a bit of a kiddy farm. I have many things to post in the PGF thread that have happened recently which I'll post very soon. I'm very happy to see you still here. Your posts have always been something I enjoy very much. |

That's just it, a Bigfoot believer can't feel embarrassment, I mean, surely a belief in an obviously fictitious giant ape-man is embarrassing enough! I certainly get strange looks from people whenever I talk about it in the real-world over a pint, and I don't even believe in it.
God, I can't stand Morrissey. One day, I hope to launch a slice of bacon at that man's noggin. |

Or a pig to throw and some garlic.
Nice to see you too, CK. Later tonight in the PGF I'll be posting some never before seen here frames from Roger's May 1967 film shot in the Ahtanum Valley of Yakima and the PGF that relates to the timeline of the film. Specifically, regarding the provenance of the plaster pour footage in which Roger is clean shaven whereas in the Reel 1 riding footage directly preceding Patty and the cast display footage he has prominent beard growth. |

The BFF has a member status of "Banned", but DWA is designated as "Inactive". I think that might be their version of suspended so he might come back. Last year, FarArcher was listed as Inactive for a while and then came back. Right now he has a normal designation which suggests that he isn't suspended or banned.

Yeah, I saw that too. It was said in not so many words in the premium section of the BFF that those two had been culled from the herd, so to speak. I think the inactive status is not voluntary and may well be permanent, or at least quite a prolonged period. That is why I said exiled, rather than banned.
EDIT: I just checked and kit does not show as banned, or inactive, yet either. |

They may change my info to show banned. I gave them contact info if the chief admin wanted to discuss anything with me. Given my long history there and experience working behind the scenes with admins and mods on forum improvement, and my very high user rating on the reputation system, I don't think my banning qualified as a usual case.
I think also part of it is that while I have always been on friendly terms with past chief admins, Salubrious, the current chief admin and I did not have much experience. On top of that he definitely counted as a PGF supporter. If I am not mixing up another BFF staff member, I also think it was Salubrious that claims to have seen a ten foot and nine foot pair of Bigfoots by his truck and I expressed skepticism of the claim. I've never experienced hostility from Salubrious and I did make a personal comment about another member when I said he had a penchant for drunken rants. I don't buy for a moment the claim about having a physical disability that affects his speech unless there is one where sometimes you're perfectly fine and sometimes you're cursing, shouting, slurring your words and having a melltdown about Bigfoot skeptics. I think it might be that given the amount of time, effort and content I have contributed to the forum and my good relationship with many of the long time members and staff there, it may have been decided to show no change to my status, especially given that from time to time I get busy with real life and take hiatuses from the forum. |

Kit,
Was there any more talk of the NAWAC over at BFF while you were there? Once Bipto left, after the Tree Fall incident, The Fake Log hiding incident, and the Colyer Shooting, oh, and the Riverbed (i was tripping on the chair and fired my rifle) Incident, I think most NAWAC talk got silenced. |

Sorry for the delay. Took some time to scan the over one hour presentation by Dahinden where he discusses Krantz saying in his book Roger did a demonstration cast at Bluff Creek a few days before encountering Patty. I'll be able to post everything later today.

Why don't you just cite the Krantz quote? River has it cited on his page. http://pgfhoax.blogspot.com/2011/11/...ax-proven.html
on Page 32 of 'Big Footprints' by Grover S. Krantz 1992 2nd paragraph: Krantz writes:
