Bruno Gröning

Just got a leaflet in my mailbox from "Bruno Gröning Circle of Friends". These guys are faith healers following the teachings of Bruno who claim their healings are medically verified. The verifying authority are "The Medical Scientific Group (MWF)".

When you google the MWF you find yourself back with the "Bruno Gröning Circle of Friends". It would seem the only reason for the existence of the authority is to verify the faith healings of Bruno's mates.... Not very impressive!

Reading about the life of Bruno one finds it was very short. He died at the tender age of 52 it seems from stomach cancer. So much for the effectiveness of his faith healing.

One would think this would be a difficult treatment to sell in the light of the above but then some folk will buy into anything.

There's a sucker born every minute, attributed to Barnum but likely from the town a few miles east, Chicago. We have always known what suckers patrons want.

My guess is Bruno's "followers" simple claim old Bruno's powers only work on others, or some other such drivel. Heck, they could even turn it into a virtue:

Bruno was told by the spirits/gods/aliens/fairies/Google or whatever mystical
source he subscribes to that by healing others, he himself would suffer and
die. This noble, selfless man then took on his mission knowing his gruesome
fate, etc, etc, etc....

These types of people have no scruple about lying and twisting the truth in order to get into their victim's wallets.

Hey simonxlong! I think you may have a flare for this stuff and yes that may be the way to sell it.
