You learn something new every day - for example, I didn't know it was possible for a cancer to catch a virus.

Yes it's too incredible that this man who never wears a mask and insists on holding events with massive crowds of maskless, defiantly-not-social-distancing people twice a week could've actually caught the virus.

He was probably infected by the Deep State to sabotage the campaign. They knew Trump's game seven energy is what seals elections in the home stretch.

Right now QAnon is split between "the Democrats infected him at the debate" and "it's misinformation and Trump's quarantine is cover for his beginning of The Storm, which he will be leading personally".

I can't help but notice that populist or, shall we say, less serious leaders seem to catch the virus more easily. Trump, Boris Johnson, wasn't Brazil's president infected at one point, too?

Yes Bolsonaro tested positive but seemed to have a pretty minor case:

Trump is really in risky territory, election aside. He has almost all the risk factors.

74 years old, male, obese, shouty, stressed, on medication.

Just not sure about his lung function, being so shouty.

In the normal pre-Trumpism universe, this would be a very serious, conclusive news item. But because of the prolific lies that come with Trump territory, we have to be open to the idea this is a stunt/hoax to boost Trump's poll numbers when he "miraculously survives."

Copied from the Mayo Clinic's website:

"Convalescent plasma therapy has some risks, such as:

Allergic reactions
Lung damage and difficulty breathing
Infections such as HIV and hepatitis B and C
The risk of such infections is low. Donated blood must be tested for safety. Some people may have mild complications or none at all. Other people may have severe or life-threatening complications."

I thought Trump looked blood orange during the debate.

If McConnell, Pence, and Trump die then Pelosi becomes the head
of the Republican Party and will rule them with an iron fist like
Margaret Thatcher did in the eighties.

Trump is not intelligent enough to carry out such a plan, never mind that his mental illness would mean he couldn't carry if off for the two weeks.

Even so, it's worth pointing out that the odds are fairly certainly much higher on the "survives" side. I won't mourn his death if he dies, but I'm certainly not going to expect it to happen.

As “Churchillian” has come to represent great stature, intelligence, oratorical skill and leadership, “Trumpian” will come to represent (if it hasn’t already) the polar opposite. What a legacy....

Apparently Hicks tested positive yesterday morning, and Trump knew. And then he carried on with indoor events, putting others at risk before learning he was infected.

Sociopathic to the not yet bitter end.

That is a really weird position.

Anyway, most people are asymptomatic. It isn't a thoughts and prayers situation until that changes.
