Might as well place a target on the front of their stores.

Reports are saying nationwide - others say the extent is not known. It is headline news. It can't be small and local.

Nationwide. After 2 hours some are coming back online. Target passed out free drinks and snacks.

I have to wonder in cases like these -- is there ever a Disaster Plan? I'd think that when the losses are tallied, they amount to much more than an occasional training session on how to use paper would cost, or other alternatives.

They sell pocket calculators and pencils and paper. Start opening those things and use them. Gift cards move to the back of the line. Concealed carry - please don't shoot!

Every time I see the name of this store referenced it reminds me of how my grandmother, as a joke, used to pronounce it as if it were French.

I suppose for the duration they could have insisted on cash, but who carries $100 in cash? Even though its nickname is "The $100 Store" (you might just go in for a birthday card and some socks, but you're not getting out of there without totalling at least $100, planned or not), I count on my credit card (and points).
"Oooohh, I need this!!!!" |

Me too. I have $100+ in my wallet right now. Along with several credit and debit cards. I also play my credit card bills in full every month; I am completely debt free and they hate me.

The Drama!! One poster actually tweeted out something similar to that. "Stuck between the deodorant and (whatever). Shoulda gone to Walmart. Pray for us!" (SIC)
A two-hour ordeal that's run its course everywhere but the ISF. All the put-out victims are home following up on whether Kylie Jenner is really buying yet another mansion and other important news. @Aussies... Target in Australia is not Target Stores USA. Just another typical down-under thievery (well, they buy 'em, but I know you guys love your Ned Kelly iconography) of well-known western names. That was the not-so-subtle meaning of my above post. There is no "worldwide" when it comes to Target stores. They have an outlet in Bangalore and one in Mumbai.... AND THAT IS ALL. |

It was more a joke than serious Don't think so Last time I got petrol and the eftpos was down they let people grab it and wrote down everyones card details with signature Think they can do it (like buying online) afterwards, as long as they have signed approval |
