It doesn't actually matter if we can tell, because our opinion is irrelevant. What matters is whether SpaceX can tell, and they don't need to keep the water flowing for that, and they can always start the water back up later if desired.

Granted, we can't conclude that it worked perfectly, but my point is, contra the prior claim, we can't conclude it failed either.

It seems to be a meaningless video - "something burning and some water" sums it up. I would have thought they were posting it to mean something?

IMHO it's "look what fun we had with a rocket engine". Nothing more. It's not for the shareholders. It's for fans.
