According to the article because they've delayed, they have a little more than half the eggs they usually have. They haven't distributed thousands of tickets that are normally give to DC schoolkids and military families.
They may pull it off, but it's going to much less than it has been. |

Meh. Trump doesn't need to actually pull it off. He can just claim that it was the biggest and best one ever and declare anybody reporting otherwise to be "fake news" using Photoshopped images.

Don't worry, there's a lukewarm Trump supporter ready to take the fall:

Can anyone imagine what might happen if a truly major crisis occurs? North Korea invades South Korea? A terrorist chemical weapons attack on the Capitol building? A Russia-sponsored cyber-warfare attack brings down a significant part of the USA power grid?
I have no doubt that the lower and middle levels of government and the military responsible for responding to these types of events will do what is asked of them, and do it well But at the very top, the people who are supposed to determine what to ask of those "below" them- with Trump Whitehouse it will be an incredible disaster! There will be 3 clueless factions each fighting one another. If Canada ever considered invading the USA- now is the time for them to do it. They should be able to capture at least New England and much of the Pacific Northwest in a matter of a few days! Maybe Mexico should take back Texas at the same time? |

A proper Easter egg hunt should be run like like a company. I presume they are still securing sponsorship agreements.

Whatever they do, they better do it quick before Trump announces that he will cut back on his expensive trips at taxpayer's expense to Mar-a-Lago in order to save taxpayers money. The announcement will mean that Trump has plans to turn the White House lawn into another Trump golf course. That also means that anyone wishing to hold an Easter egg hunt at the White House will be required to pay a large entry fee to the Trump's administration and any aliens wishing to land at the White House will be required to pay landing fees. |

You'd think this would be the one thing they might actually do a good job of. How depressing.

Why would you think that?
As White House activities go, this is really low stakes. It's a good will gesture of public outreach. It means sharing the White House with members of the public. It's merely tradition, not business. Why do you think they give the first rat's ass about it, much less doing a good job with it? |
