Here are the winter temperatures for Oslo and Fargo, from Wikipedia. All temperatures are in Celsius.

Oslo

TemperatureNovDecJanFebMar
Average daily high3.90.0-0.40.54.4
Average daily low-4.7-2.3-2.9-2.41.0
Record high14.412.612.513.821.5
Record low-16.0-20.8-26.0-24.9-21.3

Fargo

Average daily low-6.5-14.5-17.7-14.7-7.0
Record high23.018.013.019.027.0
Record low-33.0-38.8-44.0-44.0-37.0

For Fargo, note both the average and record lows, to get an idea of the range of cold temperatures. It's not unusual in December and January to have a week or more where the temperature goes down below -20 at night and barely makes it above -20 during the day.

Here in Winnipeg, at least once every winter we get a stretch where the temperature goes below -30 at night and doesn't make it above -20 during the day. We call that a "cold snap."

Trump Tweets

The Legendary Henry Ford and Alfred P. Sloan, the Founders of Ford Motor Company and General Motors, are “rolling over” at the weakness of current car company executives willing to spend more money on a car that is not as safe or good, and cost $3,000 more to consumers. Crazy!

Henry Ford would be very disappointed if he saw his modern-day descendants wanting to build a much more expensive car, that is far less safe and doesn’t work as well, because execs don’t want to fight California regulators. Car companies should know....

....that when this Administration’s alternative is no longer available, California will squeeze them to a point of business ruin. Only reason California is now talking to them is because the Feds are giving a far better alternative, which is much better for consumers!

These modern cars are less safe than the cars Henry Ford built? I call BS on this. Not a big call, not a brave call, in fact, it's a call that's is trivially obvious. Modern cars are relatively speaking much cheaper than the cars Henry Ford built.

Why does anyone believe anything Trump says or tweets? Everything he says should be fact checked because his history has proved he lies through his teeth. I find it bewildering why anyone assumes anything he says is true.

This is Trump having a meltdown over the fact that said car makers are not doing what he wants. If it was a good idea he really should have no problem convincing them, but it's not.

I think it's just a rant about "Government Over-Regulation" with the most ridiculous examples he could use. Cars have never been safer. Cars are relatively speaking very cheap. Much safer, cheaper, and more capable than in the time of Henry Ford.

He knows more about the car manufacturing business than anyone.

But seriously, you would think that before changing regulations for a business he might want to consult with the businesses and see what they think.

Meanwhile, there might be reason to question whether Trump has created the greatest economy in history. Yes, there actually have been a half million fewer jobs created than had been reported. Of course, this might have been caused by Hillary's missing emails.

They might want to cut costs and increase profits. That could be done by cutting safety.

Facts be damned. 40% - 45% of the US electorate either believe this twaddle, wish it were true so hard that they'll give him a pass over it or simply do not care enough for it, or any of his other pronouncements to change their voting intention.

You would have to be Socialist to believe that Government regulations could achieve anything positive.

No it's not.

Trump doesn't do irony, certainly not when saying something positive about himself.

And by the way, his quips about "serving more than two terms"? Those aren't throwaway lines either. He genuinely believes, or at least hopes, that's something that will happen.

Or Donnie could do the big finale from Jewel of the Nile and set the West Wing of the White House on fire and walk through it unharmed.

Can someone get Fox & Friends to mention this?

Trump looks to me like he's in the midst of a slow-motion mental breakdown. He actually slipped today and said that he has the best economy and that he defeated the caliphate. Talk about self-delusional visions of grandeur.

Right back at the beginning of his presidency in 2017, there were a number of psychiatrists who warned that he was a dangerous narcissist and he was going to get worse.... looks like they were right.

Trump is turning full whack-job.

Over an ensuing half-hour rant, Trump trucked in antisemitic tropes, insulted the Danish prime minister, insisted he wasn’t racist, bragged about the performance of his former Apprentice reality show, denied starting a trade war with China, praised Vladimir Putin and told reporters that he, Trump, was the “Chosen One” – all within hours of referring to himself as the “King of Israel” and tweeting in all caps: “WHERE IS THE FEDERAL RESERVE?”
I have to say. His "Apprentice" ratings stories never get old.

I have absolutely ZERO doubt that if he loses in 2020, whether its close run or a landslide, he WILL refuse to leave office. I know this because I recognise a pathological malignant narcissist when I see one ( I lived with one for more years than I care to admit) and I'm looking at one right now in the White House. They simply cannot stand to be challenged or criticised, and when they are, they get their panties in a bunch and lash out, often doubling down on what they have been challenged on or criticised for. ...

This is why he has surrounded himself with "yes" men, people who are too gutless to speak truth to power.

Yeah, he is now disavowing the trade war with China. I was sure he started it because he wanted a trade war, and that trade wars were "easy to win"? I'm sure he couldn't be lying, mistaken, or delusional now, so I must be misremembering and it really was the US press that started the trade war with China.

Yeah, he was addressing another member of the press up the nearby tree.

It may be not a huge group, or any group at all I suppose. I'm not on social media much, but I do know the pro-Trump posts that used to be all over the place from my conservative friends (I'm from Oklahoma) are just about gone. Even the latest Squad ruckus, which did surprise me a little.
I think what you're pointing too in regards to fatigue can also be attributed to people liking "candidate Trump", but not liking "president Trump". His antics were much more palatable as a candidate because he didn't really actually have any power or anything to do. Clowning around and being a general rabble rouser didn't distract from his responsibilities, because he didn't have any responsibilities.

President Trump is obviously not up to the task of being president. While this was obvious during the campaign to anyone who thought about it seriously for a few moments, we are now living the reality of this shortcoming.

So true. As obvious as it was during the election that this world class ignoramus was vastly under-qualified in several respects, his performance in office has been far worse than most of us imagined.

Indeed, and it's likely that the Trump apologists will jump on that, since the usual excuse when he says something outrageous is that he was too stupid to understand it.
