*Sighs* For the umpteenth billionth time.
1. The idea that there can't have infinite regress is, at best, an open question. 2. Even if we assume a "First Cause" jumping from that to God (which drop the act is where you're going with this) is silly. 3. You haven't yet explained why the universe can't be its own first cause but demand we accept God as not needing one just because you say so. |

Can you give us that text in your own words GIBHOR? To me, it just reads like 'It's impossible because I say so.'

I'll ask again and this time, try answering. Why can't an infinite regress be possible, other than someone asserting it as a "metaphysical" impossibility?
Also, what caused your god(s)? Or, alternatively, what evidence do you have that there is an uncaused being but not an uncaused universe? You must answer without using the fallacy of special pleading. |

Such a society wouldn't last long do to the simple fact that it wouldn't be sustainable. I can, however, imagine a society in which slaves are declared to be their owner's property and it is considered perfectly acceptable to beat them as long as no permanent physical damage is inflicted; a society in which a young woman who has sex with her boyfriend is considered to be so vile that she is to be immediately murdered by the men of her community; a society in which you are required to immediately and mercilessly kill any member of your family who suggests that you change religion; a society that brags about its slaughter of women and children from other kingdoms. Does that society sound familiar to you?

Yes, I can. The car initiates a series of events which affect the past. When you're open-minded, this is no problem.
Do you have any positive evidence to support your position that the universe requires a cause rather than just saying it can't have happened any other way? |

Because:
1. There is no evidence whatsoever for supernatural causes in the universe, but plenty of clear examples of natural causes. There is also no evidence for any miracle or supernatural event to have happened in the past. 2. There is no need for non-natural explanations for what we observe in the world. 3. Because God is imaginary! |
