There's a You Tuber who was on Rogan's show a lot called Tim Pool, who did this. He constantly referred to himself as a liberal, and yet every video on his channel, and literally every last thing he said on Rogan was supporting Donald Trump and complaining, first of all that the Democrats were going too left wing (with AOC and Bernie) and alienating moderate mainstream establishment Democrats (like him, apparently), then when Biden won, he had to claim that the left were pulling him towards crazy progressivism. Then as establishment Republicans started joining the Democrats, and did speeches at the Conference, he started claiming that Donald Trump was proving what he had always said he would do of "draining the swamp". Finally, he fessed up that he would be voting for Donald Trump like no one ever saw that coming.

I buy the tickets for Star Wars, it is true, but I almost never watch Marvel films, because they are **** like Donald Trump.

I've heard that from breakaways from more radical progressives who favored Tulsi Gabbard over Bernie Sanders.

I have to say though her statement about being a "hawk against terrorism" and a peacemaker otherwise was a bit eyebrow raising to me, especially with respect to Syria and Ukraine.

That's not weird, he knows they are all staunch Republicans, the ads are aimed at Trump, so denial is his likely response. Why refute something you fantasize isn't real.

No surprise. He did the same in 2016 when he thought he would lose to Clinton. It's his fallback.

Of course he's in a more damaging position now. We shouldn't forget that threat.

A vote for Republicans is a vote for safe communities, great jobs, and a limitless future for ALL Americans. Instead of letting Washington change us, despite all that we have been through, we are changing Washington! http://vote.donaldjtrump.com

At no time before has there been a clearer choice between two parties, two visions, two philosophies, & two agendas for the future. On November 3rd, Wisconsin will decide whether we will quickly return to record prosperity—or whether we allow Joe Biden to impose a $4 trillion...

...dollar tax hike, ban American Energy, confiscate your guns, shutdown the economy, destroy the suburbs, erase your borders, and indoctrinate your children with poisonous anti-American lies.

If Biden Wins, CHINA WINS. If Biden Wins, the mob WINS. If Biden Wins, the rioters, anarchists, arsonists, and flag-burners WIN. I am running for re-election to bring jobs and factories back to Wisconsin, to put violent criminals behind bars, and to ensure the future belongs...

...to America – NOT CHINA. Because if we win, AMERICA WINS. We built the greatest economy in the history of the world, and now we are doing it again!

I don't know where in the forum there is discussion of Biden's Town Hall last night, so I'll throw a comment here.

After Trump's town hall the other night, the response was to fact check, with a litany of lies and distortions, and the response from Fox News is that it was an ambush in order to excuse why he looked so bad.

After Biden's town hall, I haven't heard any accusations of rampant lying (although I'm sure there are analyses on PolitiFact or something where they have found examples of something), and the response from Bill Reilly and others on the right wing is that he did so well that he must have been given the questions before hand. Because we know that he is so demented, that memorizing answers for 25 questions is a better explanation for his performance than the fact that he might have prepared himself and was able to answer clearly without crapping his pants.

I saw an assertion that "obviously" a teleprompter was involved. Which is certainly an odd use of the word "obviously."

Thanks heavens for early voting. Makes voting surpression just a tad bit harder.

Also, the size of that crowd in a blue state, this early before the election, is encouraging.

Voting starts in Virginia TODAY, and we are going to WIN. You have a crazy Governor who wants to take away your guns, which he will do without me in office. He is in favor of executing babies after birth - this isnít late-term abortion, this is a step way beyond! Vote for me...

...Iím playing for your guns, and Iím playing for your values. For all the Federal Employees in Virginia, remember, it was me that got you the Federal Pay Raises, not Sleepy Joe Biden. Iíll be having a Big Rally in Virginia, to be announced soon!

Trouble is that close to 50% of the US electorate are willing to believe that it's true - and denying it only makes it worse.

Everyone is somebody's baby. If you execute a 50 year old man, you're executing a baby (50 years) after birth.

There has got to be a point at which even his most hard-core followers have to say, "wait, what? That doesn't even make any sense."

(And the "playing for your guns and playing for your values" seems an odd way to put it. "Playing"?)

There is no need to believe it. Just say bad things (even if completely nonsensical) and something will stick in vague memory of voter.

Door-to-door campaigning: Trump gal rang my doorbell today. I waved her off because I was busy but I have to point out one thing--this gal was a knockout. Not sure if that is going to sway any votes, but if anybody could get a man to promise to vote for Trump, she was the one.

I can honestly say that I have never had anybody knock on my door for a presidential candidate before. That said, this is a very Republican area, so it could just be a reflection of how desperate the Trump camp is. Or it may reflect how thorough they are. I guess we will see.

Not in that state. Virginia hasn't been a swing state since 2008.

If we're going by the "Giant Flag" index Trump is literally the only candidate running.

Holy moly, it sounds like somebody is losing it. They're in meltdown mode. And it's not Joe Biden!

True.

But to be fair my concerns are less about whether or not Biden will win the election to if it even matters if he does or not.

It feels weird to be worried about how strong your hand is when your opponent has all but declared he's taking the pot anyway.

I think Democrats should make it a big public issue for the next month.
It's one of the few tools they've got left.

In these 2016 exit polls, it appears a sizable chunk of Republicans who voted for Trump, probably a lot of them Evangelicals, wanted him to install conservative judges. Overall 21% of respondents said the Supreme Court was the most important reason they voted.

I think Democrats were rather quiet when Senate Republicans refused to vote on Obama's pick. I think they should make a huge scene about it for the next few weeks.

As a quick reminder - it's actually concerning parents being allowed to "pull the plug" on babies that are born with immediately terminal illnesses, so they can actually hold the baby while it's still alive, rather than having to see them rushed off to be isolated to a series of machines and isolated in a completely futile attempt to save their life.

Basically, playing politics *and* being a complete monster, as per usual.

Basically, playing politics *and* being a complete monster, as per usual.
I think Trump has been listening to Alex Jones. This is something he was babbling on about on Rogan's show....

You can't vote someone out of office who wasn't voted into office.

He should have got out and denounced the regime the moment he realised it was hopeless, which, if he's as clever as everybody makes out he is would be a matter of pico-seconds after joining it, not three years.

So either he was really, really stupid or he just didn't care.

Or as was the case for most minions, just simply not caring enough to stand up. We're not talking about some low level floor sweeper or somebody working on the inside to bring down the rotten regime, we're talking about somebody in a position of power with knowledge of exactly what was going on.

Giving Mattis a pass now is equivalent to the Allies giving Rudolf Hess a pass after his flight to Scotland.

The anti-abortionistas have gotten so far away from reality now that they're claiming both that zygotes are born babies and that babies are being aborted after they're carried to term and safely delivered.

I'm not the right person to analyse this, but FiveThirtyEight seems to show Biden's lead increasing. This close to the election, shouldn't the two start to draw closer and closer, not pull apart? Or is it too early for that? Or is it as the fox says, the polls are becoming less reliable?
