They are evil for other reasons, but there's no indictment towards any generation there. Just hardware lockin in one case and possibly the right to repair issue, and on the other hand, monopolism and crappy software.

There's a whole slew of people who should NOT be alowed to vote, they're not of sound mind.

**** I've heard of corporate abuses which make this look entirely mundane.
Such as Coca Cola's despoiling fresh water in places like india come to mind. That being said, it will be a cold day in hell before I buy an Apple product.

Maybe it's not such a big deal if the youths are getting C19 and staying home sick for a few weeks. They're unlikely to burden the hospital system (being otherwise healthy), and so it might be a good way to move the virus through society while still flattening the curve.
But they don't stay home. That's the problem. They refuse to social distance so they infect others who then infect others including those more prone to having severe cases requiring hospitalization.

True. If you've ever seen someone who has shingles, or suffered from it yourself, it's horrible. Another reason to get the vaccine.

And it's not like it's binary either. The fatality rates are a little different by age demographic, but we're talking a point plus or minus, not orders of magnitude. 40 year olds are almost as vulnerable as seniors; teens are almost as vulnerable as seniors. Just a little less.

The main deceptive element is that this virus seems to be much more contagious during an asymptomatic period. So, by the time we're suspecting we're sick, we've already shed virus from the mountains to the sea.

Related to the demographic discussion a bit above:

It doesn't help that septuagenarian politicians are going full Stalin and saying it's patriotic to throw seniors under the bus to boost the economy. Did he not read Animal Farm? (confession: I cried when they took Boxer away)
