SHe is going be a lot of fun in Special Orders.....

iThis is the last part of the daily House routine, after all other business has been done, where a member can get up , go to the podium, and make a speech on any topic he or she wants....addressing a prettty much empty House. The speaker always bails, giving some poor junior member the job of presiding over this nonsense. Green will shine making rants to her QANPON fanbase here.

Does the House leader/Speaker have the power to eject representatives from the chamber the way they can in other parliamentary democracies?

"The Speaker shall preserve order and decorum and, in case of disturbance or disorderly conduct in the galleries or in the lobby, may cause the same to be cleared."

I would assume this would extend to individual members as well.

The House or the Entire Congress? if the entire congress, you have to consider Tuberville a real contender.

Good point. Let's restrict this one to the House. That way we can have a Stupid Prom for the Senate, too. Tuberville can be King. Who can be Queen? Maybe Collins for thinking "Trump learned his lesson"?

Greene, after reading about several major companies withdrawing their funding for Congressmen who voted to challenge the election returns, referred to the companies as "Communists".
Gee, the Marriots were commies. Who knew?

As I said in the other thread.

"For abuse of power."

Ahhh... Biden's not President yet. What power has he abused?

These are the kind of questions that if you don't have answers for when you make charges should have consequences.

But "This should have consequences" rather is the zeitgeist of the age, isn't it?

I look forward to the Republicans just throwing everything against the wall to see what sticks because there's no risk or downside.

I think "radical liberal" and "radical socialist" were their favorite knee jerk go-to's this election cycle. Of course "socialist" and "communist" were interchangeable because they're too stupid to know the difference.

She’s already busted heads with some of them. Is her district safely red? They might decide she is not worth the embarrassment and let her get tossed.

Spot on. Here in GA every other word in GOP commercials was "radical." I thought I was back in the 90's with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles running for office somehow...

Sadly, yes, she's in a safely red district.
Sadly, the South is the best area to retire economically but I could never live there. I just couldn't take it. Well... primarily for the redneck Trumplicans but also the heat/humidity and accent. Did it once and just can't do it again. I remember sitting on the front porch of our house in Nashville and being drenched in 5 minutes while looking at the black widow spiders in the plants next to the steps. Shiver.

Of fund another candidate to try to Primary her. Two can play at that game.

I know, right? "John Ossoff. Too radical for Georgia." And Perdue didn't seem to have any positive agenda. His ads showed him with a smarmy frat-boy grin as he forecast a dire future if Ossoff won: "Medicare for everyone? Expanded voting rights? A Senate where Democrats don't have to negotiate? Do you really WANT that? John Ossoff is too radical for Georgia."

My wife once chimed in, "Sounds great to me!"

Yeah, the commercial where he obviously cut AOC saying something about negotiating out of a larger sentence was blatant quote mining. And then when we was saying Democrats want illegal aliens voting and getting rid of the military I just had to wonder if even Q nuts really believe that stuff.

Yep. I thought about playing a drinking game where every time the word "radical" was said I'd take a shot. Changed my mind after about twenty minutes in to watching TV. Didn't want to die of alcohol poisoning.
