While it's a good story to separate the tourists from their cash, there is no evidence that either Rathcroghan or Oweynagat are where Samhain began. They and the other sites do have fascinating historical, cultural and mythological links, especially to the Táin's.

Are you talking about this one (I think this is the one in Paris, but I could be wrong):

I had to reduce the size, because the original photo is huge (2MB+), but it's very detailed and depicts a scene from the Inferno, the first section of Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy, but if you want to check it out, I downloaded it to my website:

The neat thing about cast-metal sculptures is that forms at different scales can be produced from the same design, and each casting is the art itself in its own right. The one in Palo Alto is not a copy of the one in Paris. They're both castings of the same piece by Rodin. Each of them is equally "The Gates of Hell by Rodin".
