Because, you know, people saying mean things about Trump while the GOP controls all three Houses is the same as 6 million people being systematically murdered.

Also, the Jews originally wearing those badges weren't doing so voluntarily. There's a shocking level of ignorance on display here.

These guys are much closer to the Germans.

Specifically, the Germans under Colonel Klink.

Given that they're intending to signal how oppressed and victimised they are, I imagine they're aware that the yellow stars weren't being worn voluntarily by the Jews in Nazi Germany.

On the other hand, there was that court case a number of years back in which it was revealed that the Neo-Nazi on trial thought Hitler's first name was "Heil", so perhaps you can't underestimate how ignorant some bigots are.

Okay, so last night on Bill Maher it came out that Michael Wolff strongly suspects, but has no definitive proof, that Trump has an affair going on right now with someone that makes blackmail a huge problem. Internet sleuths followed his clues to a paragraph about Nicki Haley that seems to fit.

Imagine that....er.....no actually try very, very hard to not imagine that but do ponder the potential implications of it.

I have and I think it will have

ZERO implications, it's well known that he has had affairs whilst still married - he's even bragged about them at the time so his supporters are not interested, he's probably a lonely man, his wife is away a lot of the time, what is he meant to do.... The evangelicals will simply say they are praying for him but we are all sinners in god's eyes.

Because, ya see, being an evangelical gives you about zero reasons to support Donald Trump, so there must be something else mustn't there?

We could question the accuracy of Wolff but we cannot do this because then we would need to question the accuracy of his book and we cannot do that. The book must be true or else so much is lost. And so, Haley is getting the bone and it will continue until further notice which will never happen.

First Lady Melania is no doubt having affairs of her own with Adonis-types. Though they are fantastic in bed they are not much near the caliber of the President.

I find it interesting after the push of the last couple days to call it the "Schumer Shutdown" (even in official press release) that The PDJT takes this tack.
"Why limit it to one guy? We can blame the whole party!"

(Of course, Sen. Schumer used "the Trump Shutdown" at least three times in his post-vote speech last night.)

Lots of people know lots of things about Donald Trump. That doesn't mean that he's going to admit it, or not pay hush money (or pay people in things he can do for them as president), to keep it quiet. He paid hush money to Stormy Daniels, when it didn't matter whether or not it came out.

I mean, this is a man who can't admit to a simply typo and instead has to pretend that "covfefe" is a super-secret coded message to mysterious unnamed people. Whether or not everybody knows that it was a typo doesn't matter.

So why would the fact that everybody knows he's had affairs matter to whether or not he could be blackmailed over one?

It’s 12pm ET, meaning that Donald Trump has been president for one year.

Just take a moment to let that sink in.

I saw a tweet this morning which said something along the lines of:

Quote:
Trump has been president for a year. The government has shut down. That seems about right.

Shows that the GOP still has better marketing skills than the Democrats do. And Trump regardless of Party has those skills.

Schumer Shutdown rolls off the tongue.

This, one thousand times. And considering that it's basically an open secret that his buildings are financed in part by foreign organized crime syndicates (the rumor for years has pointed to...Russia, of course) we potentially have a far larger problem than just "sleeps around and pays hush money afterwards".

Buy folks loved the idea of bringing back 1920s jobs, favoring good white people over the darkies, and annoying the "libruls", so here we are.

ETA: how, exactly, does a germaphobe have unprotected sex with a random porn star? I'll grant that the porn industry in general is known to be cautious about STDs, but it still strikes me as something that someone who, by definition, has an irrational fear of disease would not do.

And why ask this? Because his denial of the "pee pee tape" relies on his supposed germaphobia. I don't know if anyone else brought this up here, since I often skip to the last few posts in this thread, but it wouldn't shock me if someone did...

Replacing the real reasons these women are marching with reasons of his own strikes me as incredibly dismissive and disrespectful of these women, and a complete fantasy.

It can't be stressed enough that our PotUS only has a (perhaps intentionally) tenuous connection with reality.

He's just trolling. He knows damn well that the march is anti-Trump among other things.

Trump's campaign pays Trump to use Trump spaces for Trump fundraisers:
Quote:
Since Trump began running for president in summer 2015, he has repeatedly used his hotels and golf courses as venues for his campaign events ó and paid himself for the privilege.

During the 2016 election cycle, Trumpís campaign spent at least $791,000 to hold events at 12 Trump-branded venues: three hotels, seven golf courses, a condo building and Mar-a-Lago, federal campaign filings show. That was on top of millions of dollars more that Trumpís campaign paid his businesses for other expenses, such as hotel stays, meals and rent for office space at Trump Tower.

Well, yes. I mean this isn't a surprise, surely? Seems like old news, aside from the fact he's doing it again.

Bothers me a lot less than the fact that he benefits from diplomats, etc., staying at his properties. If the folks that donate money to Trump accept that it lines his pockets, that's one thing. Foreign (and domestic) folks that curry favors by lining his pockets are another.

What's the difference? If campaign donors know the money will go to Trump, and officials staying at Trump properties know the money will go to Trump, they are both trying to "curry favors." A bribe is a bribe, however you disguise it.
