Avenatti Challenges Trump Jr. To MMA Fight

It didn't go well for Michael.

A female MMA fighter responded to Avenatti:

Quote:

A washed up MMA fighter talks ****. How did that not go well for Michael? A woman defended Trump Jr. and that's supposed to mean something?

Neat. Lets file this under the "who gives a serious ****?" pile. Thanks for posting.

When is Tara's next card? Oh, that's right, there isn't a next card for her.

Avenatti suggested it be a charity event with the money going to hurricane clean up in Puerto Rico and to a 24 hour rape crisis hotline.

As for Tara LaRosa; classy. But then again, look who she supports.

She also tweeted

Quote:
What a bitchass move. Trump is 70+yrs old.
https://twitter.com/TaraLaRosa/statu...05546344370177

She later deleted the above tweet when someone pointed out it was Trump JR., not his father.

To be fair: You cannot fault an MMA fighter for being upset that her sport isn't being treated with dignity. She probably trained pretty intensely and is rightfully proud of her accomplishments. Having it turned into a side-show is, at the very least, disrespectful.

On the other hand, watching Trump, Jr. get kicked in the head would be all kinds of fun.

On the other other hand, Avenatti's main goal was probably just to out-Trump the Trump playbook of being the most outrageous outrage in the history of outrage. So, mission accomplished, I guess.

It's not like Avenatti is a great example to make those kinds of comparisons.

Frankly I doubt that he was actually willing to do the fight but more likely another publicity stunt since Stormy appears to have faded and his accuser in the Kavanaugh confirmation never gained any traction to begin with. He needed something to keep his name in the spotlight.

I'm not a fan of Avenatti although his claims regarding Trump and S. Daniels were all verified. I think he's an attention hound and the idea of him running for president is silly as he's not qualified. I've had more than enough of an unqualified, attention seeking president. I doubt anyone really thinks he and Donny Jr. would actually engage in MMA or any other kind of physical combat.

My criticism of LaRosa is due to her twitter page which I find typical right wing/Trump supporting and, frankly, her use of profanity is lacking in any class.

I'm sure this is all an innocent misunderstanding, but it really reads like you're dismissing Tara's response because she's a woman.

We use to have charity boxing events in this country....

https://www.nzherald.co.nz/sport/new...bjectid=180045

They often used to pit politicians against each other. Finance Minister Bill English (who later became NZ Prime Minister) fronted for a charity boxing match once.

Don't tend to see them as much these days with all the kerfuffle about head knocks and concussion.

For most politicians, how could you tell?

And where did I say it does? It was a silly thing for Avenatti to say but at least he'd give the money to two good causes. Donny Jr. would probably 'donate' it to the Trump Foundation in order to pay for a new life size portrait of Daddy or pay toward Trump legal fees.*

He never mentioned Avenatti in that post. He was referring to LaRosa who is definitely a 'potty mouth' whether she was male or female.

Anti-sexism from most male liberals is just virtue signalling; if a woman strays from the Democratic plantation the sexism comes out, just as the racism does for anybody found being Republican while black.

Was it only a few days ago that Avenatti was getting blamed for Kavanaugh getting confirmed?

I don't think anybody comes out of this well. LaRosa comes out of it better than Avenatti, though.

Probably the best thing she could do right now - offer to fight him as a proxy for Trump. See if he actually accepts. My bet is that he wouldn't, and that he'd use something along the lines of "I was brought up not to hit a woman" as an excuse.

How the **** did you get that? The OP, of which I was replying to, made a specific point to note that she was a female MMA fighter. I reply by saying, "So she's a female MMA fighter defending Trump jr., who cares?", and that's sexist? Non sequitur at best.

I ended it by pointing out that she's not under contract, she has no events coming up, and so she isn't really an MMA fighter. She's, what, 40+?

ETA: Randy Couture isn't an MMA fighter either, nor is Chuck Liddel. They're retired hall of famers, and I would give their opinions no more weight than I would give random_unheardof_mma_fighter_01. The irony of you guys jumping to this woman's defense considering the statements made in defense of actual womanizers is absolutely hilarious.

What does LaRosa have to do with anything? She is a rabid Trump supporter who posted a predictable tweet. She has nothing to do with anything.

I think Anenatti's challenge would be fun. It lets the gentlemen blow off some steam in a way that supports laudable causes, as opposed to a snitty tweet battle. Could open the door for a new era of bipartisan dispute resolution as well.

Why would an MMA loony make such a challenge? Does Donny Jr have any martial arts training or experience? Has he ever bragged about his skillset?

While we're all gleefully jumping on Avenatti with both feet, let’s keep in mind that it was Trump Jr who fired the first shot.

But as usual, obnoxious behavior is tolerated by a person with the last name “Trump”. When someone dares respond in kind, they’ve crossed the line.

LoL finally someone just comes out and says Don Jr. is physically weak. I think that's the first critique of the right I've seen from an Avenetti basher.

"Michael should pick on someone his own size, not someone that's tiny with a weak constitution like Donny Jr."

Priceless.

Priceless.
Let's not forget the fact that Trump Jr was the one talking smack in the first place.

And here I thought that conservatism was the ideology of the rough-and-tumble man's man.

I guess it's really the ideology of the trash-talking wuss who runs away faster than he runs his mouth.

Oh my, another "I know you are, but what am I?", but entirely in third person. Nicely done, TBD.

If Tara LaRosa was Tony LaRosa, I would referred to him as a potty mouthed prick!

Happy now?

given Jr's rep, it wouldn't be a stretch to infer he may have wet himself too.

He was referring to LaRosa and what she wrote. You're stretching it in order to excuse your post which was just plain wrong. No one said there was no lashing out at LaRosa because of what she wrote.

That is name-calling not sexism. As he said, if she were a man, he'd have called him the male equivalent and that still would not be sexism. If you want an example of sexism, look no further than these from Trump:
Quote:
"You know, it doesn't really matter what [they] write as long as you've got a young and beautiful piece of ass."
Quote:
“I think that putting a wife to work is a very dangerous thing,” said Trump. “Unfortunately, after they're a star, the fun is over for me. It's like a creation process. It's almost like creating a building. It's pretty sad.”

"If you’re looking for a rocket scientist, don’t tune in tonight, but if you’re looking for a really beautiful woman, you should watch.”
