Dinesh D'Souza was sentenced to eight months in a halfway house near his home in San Diego, five years' probation, and a $30,000 fine. Trump pardoned him. Again:
Dems are certainly not all innocent either: Jesse Jackson Jr. "On February 8, 2013, Jackson admitted to violating federal campaign law by using campaign funds to make personal purchases.[4] Jackson pleaded guilty on February 20, 2013, to one count of wire and mail fraud.[5] On August 14, 2013, he was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison.[6][7] Jackson was released from prison on March 26, 2015." Speaking of Jesse Jackson Jr., according to his lawyer his job gave him bi-polar disorder and he's getting workers comp!
https://www.chicagotribune.com/news/...222-story.html
Quote:
Uh huh. I had workers comp before and I can tell you it doesn't work this way for most people! The guy is a thief yet he's collecting a hefty $100,000 check on my dime. **** you. I wonder how Leland Ye (D) is doing? Cali state senator who got busted running guns for the Chinese mob. This was a state senator who ran on an anti-gun platform. Talk about a hypocrite. In 2015, Yee pleaded guilty to felony racketeering charges for money laundering, political corruption, arms trafficking, and bribery. So what has MTG done again? Yes she's a slimeball but she hasn't trafficked in weapons that we know of. The Republican party is full of bozos. Any gun runners? I wouldn't doubt it but I'm trying to make a simple point. We have bad guys too, really bad. Let us not forget that all of these ******* are politicians and there are enough sneaky liars to go around on both sides. Yes, the Republicans are disgusting as a whole and have been for quite some time, but there is plenty of corruption to go around. None of these people are angels. Power corrupts. No, I do not think Biden is corrupt but he is as capable of lying to us as all the rest. He's a politician after all. My default position must be that none of these people are good, just some are a lot worse than the rest. If they prove me wrong, awesome! This is why I got on Biden for the documents they found. We automatically assume it was a blunder, and there is no reason to doubt that as of now. But my default outlook cannot automatically be that my guy is honest and the other guy is bad. I have to assume they are all bad until it is shown they are not. It's safer that way I think. Politicians lie. All of them. Rant over |

The difference here is that Trump insisted he had a right to keep hundreds of classified documents, even after the National Archives asked and then demanded that they be returned for over a year and even after the NA obtained a subpoena. Trump's lawyers even falsely claimed that all documents had been returned. Biden's lawyers, on the other hand, found classified documents while they were cleaning out an office and immediately called the authorities. Nobody was looking for them. Biden has cooperated completely with searches. No subpoenas or warrants or raids were necessary.
See the difference? |

I know all that no need to rehash. Let's just say I'm trying not to automatically give benefit of the doubt to anyone as I think that is the best practice. I am confident that Biden wasn't being sneaky and thought so from the start. But I am 100% fine with investigating to the fullest, within reason. No man is more important than this country. And my main complaint was that it would make it "harder" to go after Trump as I already demonstrated in the other thread. How many more committees will Republicans run now? "Better impeach Biden more than once!" It's all bullcrap but it still makes things more difficult. That has been my point all along. Anyways, I just read a CNN article about the guy who Santos ripped off...the dog owner. https://www.cnn.com/2023/02/01/polit...dme/index.html I'm gonna repeat my prediction that inappropriate behavior with children or child porn possession claims will be made against Santos. I think I gave it a year? He just creeps me out, I have nothing else to go on really. I mean look at him! |

I don't think anyone here has claimed or believes that there aren't bad apples among Dems, too. Look at Jesse Jackson, Jr. and Yee who were pointed out. But I'm still trying to find one Dem who claims our elections are rigged, tried to overturn an election through illegal means, and who thinks the J6 insurrectionists are 'patriots'.

Another day, another Santos story. Talking Points Memo has a story up about the lawyer George Santos has hired to represent him in Brazil.

Santos' latest bid for attention: Wearing an assault rifle pin on the floor of the House. Rep. Anna Luna of Florida also wore one. This led a California Congress member, Jimmy Gomez (D), to ask: "Where are these assault weapon pins coming from? Who is passing these out?"
Good questions but I guess we shouldn't expect any answers. Luna was endorsed by the Gun Owners of America group and is on record as wanting to roll back restrictions on firearms. Gun Owners of America Proudly Endorses Anna Paulina Luna |

Seems to be from Andrew Clyde, Rep. from Georgia, who is promoting protection for the 2nd amendment.

Maybe someone should remind moron Clyde that there's another Constitutional 'freedom' people have: the right to life.
I'm sure the families of all the people, including children, who were killed by an AR-15 or similar assault weapon in Las Vegas, Orlando, Sandy Hook Elementary School, Sutherland Springs, El Paso, Robb Elementary School, Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, Aurora, and Dayton would love one of those pins. |

The guy owes thousands in unpaid parking tickets, and there's this:
Quote:
This guy is no Trump, and Gaetz, well the Republicans kept him under the radar somehow. Again, ask a Republican voter who Matt Gaetz is and get a blank stare. "He did what? Nah....lies". This Santos turd is in the news every day. Everyone knows about him. Will it make a difference? We all know it should. The campaign finance stuff could be pretty bad. If the Republicans were...uh LOL...well if they were "smart" at all they'd let him hang himself. If I were in charge I'd bury the ******* for the good press, but obviously the GOP don't care about optics. "School zones". Sure spends a lot of time speeding through them. I'm telling ya it's gonna come out! I went to check Fox News to see if they mention Santos and the ad blocker kept me from seeing, I'm fine with that. Went to National Review and did a page search for "Santos" and he is nowhere on the front page. They have at least three headlines for Hunter Biden though. Here's a funny headline: "Can Ron DeSantis Save Higher Ed?" LOL. these people really believe this stuff, my gawd. TOP STORY!: "Biden's Classified-Documents Scandal Will Save Trump From His" Next top story: Biden and the student loan thing = bad! Then anti-electric vehicles. No wonder Republicans are so ******* stupid (sorry but the evidence is clear), and this isn't even Fox. Hey Walker was right! China bad air brought us a spy balloon! |

Let's see what we got on the front page. Biden failed handling of China spy balloon. Elon Muck is awesome. Democrats are socialist commies. Need to investigate Biden over failure of handling China spy balloon. American patriot high school swimmer disqualified for American flag patch presumably by crazy libtard snowflake socialist commies. Biden's failing failed failure China spy balloon.
Nope. No mention of Santos. Didn't even make the list over "Steve Doocy shares Kansas restaurant's cinnamon roll pancakes". |

Santos told donors that he had been a producer on the disastrous Spider-Man musical. The lead producer confirmed that Santos had no connection to the show. His resume grows as fast as his nose.

Nor does he hold the fate of the GOP in his hands.
Santos is worth a house vote so the GOP will be more likely to cut him loose than Trump who could with a flick of the wrist render the GOP inviable by starting a third party and telling his supporters to never support the GOP. |

I still think Santos will end up resigning as part of a plea deal.
But the GOP embracing him is getting more and more embarassing by the moment. |

What else could he do to enhance his reputation as a liar?
Declare that he is actually an Immortal and was once the prophet Mohammad. That he hasn't told any lies at all and its all the evil medias fault. He is the Devil himself making it plainly obvious that he can deceive anyone. He is world's great spy He is actually Sacha Baron Cohen in his greatest role so far! |

Oh absolutely. There are still sensible Republicans, but they're either being ignored, shouted down or handing their spines in to kowtow to the lunatics.
