Rick's GOP platform is rather long-winded. He can simplify it to one sentence.

"Make America a white, male, christian ruled dictatorship."

Make them their own state. Then put their wall around it, 100ft high. Electrify it, and shut the gates. Let nobody in or out. They can shoot and eat whatever they like. And start on each other when the deer and the antelope run out. Just make sure the gates stay shut.

I have my doubts. Usually the GOP is lining up in a desperate bid to see who can outdo the cruelty of the last GOPper to propose something. I'd like to see actual evidence of them actually shying away from this craziness.

Frankly, I've seen too much of the Republican party of late to believe any of them are going to back away from the crazy. They're just gonna build a platform of bigger crazy instead.

That's been what the Republican party has been doing for the last 30 years. As far as they are concerned when crazy doesn't work it just means they weren't crazy enough. As bad as Trump is there is still worse to come.

Some reporter asked AZ Governor Ducey about crazy lady Wendy Rodgers cuddling up to nazis and he replied "better than having a democrat in office." Stay classy!

Tweets are embedded in this blog thingie here.

She's speaking at nazi Incel douchebag Nick Fuentes' "America First PAC" later this week, presumably to avoid those liberal cucks at CPAC.

Ted Cruz called Jen Psaki "Peppermint Patty."

Jen: "I can't be offended. I like Peppermint Patty."

Swing and a miss, Ted....

He should have said, "She's uglier than my wife."

AZ Governor Doug Ducey saying the quiet part out loud. It seems to me the Rs are getting more vocal and more unhinged.

Quote:
Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey was asked today how he feels about state lawmaker Wendy Rogers in light of her recent embrace of the white nationalist movement. Ducey told reporters it's better than having a Democrat in office.

We can't have it being used for nefarious purposes like these:

"Information on race is required for many Federal programs and is critical in making policy decisions, particularly for civil rights. States use these data to meet legislative redistricting principles. Race data also are used to promote equal employment opportunities and to assess racial disparities in health and environmental risks."

IOW: We can't have "good guys" like Derek Chauvin, Aaron Russell, Eric J. DeValkenaere, Joshua Taylor and Brandon Dingman, Andrew Delke, William Darby, Michael Slager , Aaron Cody Smith, et al....all convicted of killing someone unlawfully.

He's obviously referring to the BLM protests of last year but he opposes the Jan. 6 Committee investigating that "protest".

Tell that to Sweden, Denmark, Canada, Norway, Germany, and France, and the Iceland. The US poverty rate is 17.8% .
Sweden: 17.10%, Denmark 12.6%, Canada 11.6%, Norway 12.7%, Germany 14.8%, France 13.6%, Iceland 8.8%.

He finally got something right!

.

Need I really point out the irony of the above?

Note how he declares the nuclear family is "God's design" and then proceeds to say that 'to say otherwise is denying science'. Since when is science based on religion beliefs? This is nothing more than an bigoted attack on non-heterosexuals. And what does socialism have to do with defining 'family'?

Again with the 'science' based on religion. Has anyone denied that a zygote is 'human'? What does he think pro-choice people believe? That a zygote is another species? It's "person", not "human" that is in question. There are two 'sexes', not 'genders'. For someone who says he believes in science, maybe he should learn what is science and what is belief.

Ah, yes...the good old "Christian victimization" claim. What? No "War on Christmas" claims? Please stop picking on us Christians!

Note the bolded part after just telling us that schoolchildren should be forced to say the Oath of Allegiance every day and that no mention of race or ethnicity can be asked by the government. And which party is having conniption fits over CRT (which isn't even taught in schools)?

So globalists aren't American? Since when? Nothing like good old fashioned isolationism. Sounds like N. Korea. This guy lives in La La Land if he thinks most of the above is possible.

Scott is the perfect example of what is wrong with today's GOP.
It's the usually right-wing word salad. they have no principles, no ideas, no actual policies. They just have these vague notions of being angry at stuff. That's why they can hold one position on issue A and hold a position on issue B that actually is a direct contradiction to their former position. The smart ones at least know to space the contradicting statements out and not have them in the same bullet point.

I had to laugh at his 'not really an apology' apology:

Quote:
“Just over a week ago I was stopped in Sarasota for speeding. During the stop I was belligerent and rude to the officer who stopped me. Much interest has been shown in local media and many comments made as to my behavior. I’m not going to justify my poor temper on that day or attempt to mitigate it in any way . There will be some who will say it’s not the first time I’ve acted out and they’d be right. I have faults and one of them is to be overly aggressive on occasion when I’m challenged. In the political arena that is possibly a good thing but on a personal level it’s not."

Mike Lindell confronted CBS News’ Robert Costa at CPAC. He called him a “traitor to America“ and got everyone to chant “traitor! traitor! traitor!“ at him.

They may as well just wear swastikas and/or white hoods. Their hate, racism, fascism and general disdain for freedom hasn't been a secret for over a decade.

I have long argued than any right wing policy statement has to fit on a bumper sticker.

Of course, we are not talking Bible-Christians with all that “love your neighbor” “forgive your enemy” and “whatever you do to the least of my brethren you do to Me.”

We are talking prosperity-Gospel crap: “my having lots of money is proof that God loves me.”

I guess Biden is responsible for inflation elsewhere, too. Most of Europe and several other countries are experiencing high inflation rates for the same reasons the US is. But ignorance and/or stupidity reduces it to 'blame Biden'.

US Rep. Madison Cawthorn calls Ukrainian president a 'thug'

Quote:
RALEIGH, N.C. — U.S. Rep. Madison Cawthorn of North Carolina told supporters he thought Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was a "thug"—a comment that runs counter to the overwhelming share of Republicans with a favorable view of the leader fending off a military invasion from Russia.

"Remember that Zelenskyy is a thug," Cawthorn said in a video obtained by WRAL. "Remember that the Ukrainian government is incredibly corrupt and is incredibly evil and has been pushing woke ideologies."

It was unclear where the video was taken. Cawthorn had a number of events in the state over the weekend.

I'd like to know what his license was revoked for but it's protected information.
