I know you are using "traitor' to echo the language of Trump detractors, but if a traitor is someone who commits treason, doesn't the U.S. have to be at war with someone?

Though who knows, the concept of a clearly defined war seems to be wobbly at this point.

Not so contradictory, I think. I have read reports that the FISA court accepts a very large margin (>90%) of requests. I think that report was reputable, but aside from such statistical matters, little is known about what is requested and what is allowed.

Nothing I've said, of course, supports the claim that the Obama administration requested wiretaps for Trump or his campaign. I'm merely pointing out that it is fairly widely said that FISA accepts a very large percentage of requests.

It's not. All that extra text at the bottom is also an image. Click on it. There are actually 3 images attached to the tweet.

What is "it"? The extra text?

The box of text, the Breitbart article and the Trump tweet. They're all images not text.

Why would Obama even have to bother? Trump can't keep his mouth shut about a damn thing. Just wait and he'll tweet whatever it is he talked about.

It is possible that the FBI got a FISA warrant to tap a few phones and computers at Trump Tower.

Stacko, are you suggesting that Trump is simply pushing some ridiculous conspiracy theory about Barack Obama? If so, that would have been impossible to predict in advance based on his previous conduct!

Tweet May have Declassified FISA Warrant, Politicus

If a FISA warrant was issued, it was classified. By insinuating something like this was done, 45 may have declassified the warrant, and the intelligence gathered from it.

If that is correct, it could mean that the whole story (who met with the Russians and what deals were struck there) would be wide open knowledge.

45 may have just sealed the death sentence on his administration.

It is mind-boggling trying to figure out how an unfit person became president of the United States even though the majority of American voters did not vote for Trump. Even Russia has second thoughts and probably wish they could turn back the clock.

Is that all wishful thinking, or does it have teeth?

I only ask because it seems he's had at least 2 dozen "that's gonna do it for him" moments.

Really? It's mind boggling to you how the electoral college works? It's mind boggling to you that the United States is a union of states? It's a somewhat unusual arrangement, I admit. But mind boggling? I don't know.

Amazing what voters will vote for. Considering that Trump announced well in advance that he's a bigoted, incompetent liar, one must presume that this is what the voters wanted, and maybe it's time to stop blaming the Democrats for not running a greater fool.

Except one justification for the Electoral College was to keep an unqualified lunatic with a populist fervor out of the White House.

The stuff with Sessions was dieing down, since he recused himself.

Trump blew everything up this morning, and it was a huge mistake.

Now there is more of a need to look into all of this.

Trump is to blame.

So you're saying the FISA courts are corrupt?

Funny, I've heard not a single Republican Congressman or Senator make such a charge.

The word corrupt appears nowhere in that criticism section. I have a feeling you formed an opinion without reading my cite.

Reading that guy's other legal "opinions" at that site was most amusing. My favorites were the series of articles where he gloated to "liberals" (he likes using that word a lot) how the legal challenges against Trump's travel ban are doomed to failure, published a few days before the courts ruled against the ban.
