Yes I’ve seen many liberals say this. It’s quite amusing that a leftist has to get himself so close to Reagan, because even today not many want to be labeled a leftist.

Wouldn't a leftist be someone who was prejudiced against the left, in the same way that a racist is someone who is prejudiced against certain races?

As Peter Cook said, “the Americans, like us in England, have a two-party system. They have the Republican party, which is like our Conservative party, and they have the Democratic party, which is like our Conservative party."

Despite promising to punish companies that moved jobs overseas by raising their taxes, Trump is in fact rewarding them by eliminating their taxes all together

Also, The FBI, CIA and NSA say American citizens shouldn't use Huawei phones.

Quote:
U.S. intelligence agencies have issued a stern warning to Americans: Do not buy smartphones made by Chinese tech companies Huawei or ZTE.

Republican Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas asked the group to raise their hands if they would recommend private American citizens use products or services made by Apple competitor Huawei or smartphone maker ZTE. None of them did.

FBI Director Chris Wray explained why it is an issue for companies and local governments to use Huawei or ZTE products and services.

There is a risk of letting any company "beholden to foreign governments" inside the country's telecommunications infrastructure, he said. Huawei is a global leader in networking equipment, and the government has previously blocked it from selling technology to some federal agencies.

There was a time when you could be a loyal American and support Trump?

At least if you realized what Trump was, and were not just buying the image he presented.

I don't know what a leftist is these days. Seriously. It isn't what it use to be. Is being a protectionist and cozying up to the Chinese and the Russians and blasting a massive hole in the National debt now conservative values? People like Logger have no clue about policy. This is simply tribal. Republicans good, Democrats bad.

Trump promised to bring back coal. Ain't happening. Trump promised to help lower prescription prices. His policies will not do that. Gas prices have risen 30 prevent since he has taken office and are now predicted to go much higher because of Trump's policies in the Middle East.

What has Trump done except help the super wealthy? I guess that is the true conservative value.

Yes and he admitted it was a mistake. He made a deal with democrats to cut spending, they lied, he got screwed by them. Somehow that makes him a leftists?

All it shows is how a president should never compromise with the left, they only deserve defeat.

Jared and Ivanka know how to stay on brand.

Quote:
White House advisers Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump reportedly received a blessing from a rabbi who previously compared black people to monkeys, according to The Forward. Kushner and Trump were both in Jerusalem for the opening of the new U.S. Embassy and received a blessing from Sephardic Chief Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef during the celebrations. Yosef, one of the two chief rabbis in Israel, used the word “kushi”—a biblical term now considered derogatory for black people. “You can’t make the blessing on every ‘kushi’ you see—in America you see one every five minutes, so you make it only on a person with a white father and mother,” Yosef said during a sermon in March. “How do would you know? Let’s say you know! So they had a monkey as a son, a son like this, so you say the blessing on him.” The Anti-Defamation League called the remarks “utterly unacceptable,” and Yosef responded by saying he was “merely citing the Talmud.” Yosef has a history of questionable remarks, suggesting women who dressed immodestly were “animals” and claiming non-Jews were forbidden to live in Israel.

That's ok. Trump is taking a "pastor" with him to Jerusalem who says the Chief Rabbi is going straight to hell anyhow.
