Prior to that, politicians like Moore would have been treated as little more than lunatic fringe and quickly gotten out of the way.

It will be funny if Moore tries to save the election by holding a tearful press conference admitting he lusted in his heart, if not in his jockey shorts, and that he regrets any discomfort he may have caused young women, who he holds in the highest regard because Our Lord's mother was a woman, and if voters in their abundant magnanimity forgive him, as Jesus already has, he could hope for no greater privilege than to serve them honorably in the U.S. Senate.

To believe Moore is telling the truth, you have to be believe a lot of other people are lying. Which may be the case; I don't know. The more economical explanation is that Moore is the one telling fibs, but I suppose it's just possible that a vast left-wing conspiracy is out to rob him of his Senate seat.

What the hell does Jesus have to do with it? Moore wasn't banging him. Fine, Jesus who had a kinky S&M weekend for our sins forgives him. Is Jesus issuing a statement on that?

Moore should follow Franken's model and seek forgiveness against the people he transgressed against.

I am pretty sure Minoosh was referring to the theory of the religious right that jesus forgives if one seeks for forgiveness for their sins (a stupid theory for many reasons). I do agree however that Moore should be asking forgiveness from those he assaulted physically /mentally/verbally. And by so doing admit his sins.

But, if he tries to keep up he may begin to realize we are right and Moore is a cesspool of lying religionist!!!!!!!
