It would be a beautiful thing if the Squad came back in 2020 and the Stupid Bitch in Chief left in 2021. It would be an unmitigated defeat of the first order, inflicting emotion on pain on Trump the likes of which he's never experienced. I'd take time off just to enjoy watching him suffer.

This is awesome. The stupid bitch is standing in front of a parody presidential seal with a two-headed Russian Eagle and golf clubs in the talons. The treasonous scum from Turning Point USA failed to realize a true patriot put up the parody seal. They fired the AV guy (since traitors can't have loyalists among them). Someone needs to give that real American a job.

Of course Turning Point said there was no malicious intent but they are magascum so they are lying (it's all their kind know how to do).

Way to strike a blow for America.

The obvious lie is pretty funny. Even after this making the news, "us presidential seal" image searches on Google and Bing don't make it easy to find a projection-suitable version of the fake, and when you see it among a sea of real seals there's no way to miss it (or the one I found with Cthulhu on it). It was absolutely projected on purpose.

Indeed! I had to search hard to find it, and most instances were from news reports of this incident.

I suspect Donny is fuming that some young Turning Point wonk got the better of him so easily. And Fox won't talk about it too much because that will only draw attention to the gaffe. Unless they baldly come out and say that Hillary or AOC personally hacked into the Turning Point projection PC and quickly edited the image while nobody was looking.

I wonder if it was a search-history thing? That the young conservative who found it has an extensive history of looking for and visiting pro-Putin sites. Putin is very popular with the far right crowd.

I think it's quite credible that this was just the result of a defective on-line search. You must remember, after all, that just because Trump is, according to his authoritative account, the smartest person in the world, it remains remotely possible that among his supporters one could with sufficient effort find an idiot.

Yeah, all across America black people have their heads in their hands lamenting that their trusted friend for decades, Sweden, has let them down. What are they going to do now?
Don't get me started on their health care system and care for the elderly. Hellhole is right.

I wonder how the Trump true believers are handling this. On one hand, the guy is a black rapper, which means he is a criminal crack head with multiple children he doesn't support. But on the other hand, Trump says Sweden is bad because they won't do what he says. Plus, Sweden is somewhere in Europe, so it's full of libtards and gay people, probably commies to boot. It's a real conundrum.
In the end, I think they go with ,"Screw you Sweden!" because Trump says, "Sweden bad." Plus, the rapper will end up in prison eventually because he will murder somebody sooner or later. So, problem solved for the Trumpers.

you missed the killer line, IMO

But, Leazott said, it’s him who gets the last laugh. A photo of Trump in front of his seal is now his computer background, and the person who used it at the event is “either wildly incompetent or the best troll ever — either way, I love them.”

I just did a google image search for United States seal of the President. Even in spite of the news story, there were no fake ones in the first page of results.

This was deliberate.

ETA actually, just thought of a way it could happen accidentally. He might have downloaded the fake one before and was then asked to find a real one and download it. So both images would be there side by side in his download folder and he simply picked the wrong one to show.

I'm still seeing no reason to treat McConnell much short of being an outright traitor.
Did McConnell just basically say that doing what's best for the country is not in the Republicans' best interest?

"They" are Turning Point. They are evidently a bit incompetent. Surely, they could have asked the administration for an official image.

(Of course, this may have been intentional anyway. Perhaps likely was.)

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the White House has a standard seal, picture of the President, White House, etc... in its press kit.

I don't know how you guys do it in the US, but here in Scandinavia we have something called "Seperation of Power". The powers of the government is divided into the legislative branch, the executive branch and the judicial branch.

These branches are supposed to not interfere with each other. For example, the prime minister, head of the executive branch, can not interfere with the judicial branch. Nor can any other politician. This is seen here as fundamental to a working modern democracy.

It's been said before, but Trump thinks that government works like one of his companies, but he's never been a CEO. He has no experience with being answerable to other people and not having absolute power in his bailiwick. He thinks that he says "Do this!" and everyone in the country and the world will fall over themselves following his orders like they're his employees.

Not if you think that it would be best for the country to be run by the Kremlin.

The chances that the two would have close to the same file name is pretty slim to none.

So remember how Trump and the republicans predicted huge economic benefits from their tax cuts?

Turns out that they weren't so beneficial after all.

From: https://www.reuters.com/article/us-u...-idUSKCN1UL1KP
The Commerce Department said on Friday that gross domestic product increased at a 2.9% rate last year, confirming an estimate which was published in March. The department’s annual revisions to GDP data also showed the economy growing 2.5% in the 12 months through the fourth quarter of 2018, down from the previously reported 3.0%.....On the campaign trail, Trump boasted he could boost annual GDP growth to 4%....The updated Commerce Department data also showed growth in the second and third quarters of last year was not as robust as previously estimated, and the economy grew much more slowly in the fourth quarter than had been reported in March....The data also showed growth in consumer spending peaking in the second quarter and decelerating sharply in the final three months of 2018....The downward revisions to the three quarters largely reflected downgrades to business investment, suggesting corporations likely did not plow their tax windfall back into their businesses.

So Trump and the republicans promise big benefits from the tax cuts. Those big benefits are at best mild, and whatever benefit they provided seems to be fading. Still, the deficit lives on!
