As we enter the second quarter of 2022, it seems the value and popularity of NFTs is starting to slump. Stored as virtual "deeds" to digital properties, on a distributed blockchain ledger, these types of tokens have been heralded as a godsend, by the likes of Mark Cuban, Steve Harvey, EA's CEO Andrew Wilson, and even voice actor Troy Baker! The April Fools joke must've been that the thread was an April Fools joke, because I think this is a fantastic investment opportunity.

I only have one suggestion - instead of "smart contracts", we should make them "Bright contracts". I'll get started on the whitepaper right away.

He didn't lose them, but I've just bought the NFT's. As expected, they were surprisingly inexpensive!

Not even that. Anyone can say the artist sold the link to them. You paid for the output of some bit of mathematical calculations done by a CPU, or GPU, that you can claim as yours. And what that means to a 3rd party is entirely up for them to decide. I suppose they're using something like digital certificates so you can prove that its indeed you that bought the NFT?
