Or Trumps. Nobody liked him to hear them say it, but they didn't bend over and present for Bush anywhere like they did for Trump.

Gaetz has no capital, though. He's just a snot-nosed, lop-faced bottom feeder.

Trump has negative capital, and has had for well over 20 years. How he manages to stay afloat... well, we know, but... you know... anyway.

That's not entirely true. Cruz, McConnell et al. are considered swamp creatures to the Trump loyalist but that doesn't mean that they won't vote for them if it is between them and some evil marxist commie fascist socialist Demoncrat!

Right now, the loyalist favor anyone who has pledged fealty to Trump. Gaetz, MTG, Ron Johnson and what-his-name, Mr. Fist Pump Guy. The Gaetz allegations are just so much Evil Leftist MSM, China owned CNN propaganda designed to bring down an up and comer-just like they did to Trump!!

But the point is that everyone in congress hates Ted Cruz, and yet he keeps getting elected.

The fact that a significant number of people believe Trump's BS is his capital. That, and the GOP who want to ride his coattails to power.

He has won the election twice. First time because it’s Texas and the hard part is winning the GOP primary. He won on Tea Party crap. He won by over 16% in that election. He won again in 2018 but was so stained his lead wasn’t even 2 percentage points. He’s got more stains on him with the whole CancunCruz thing but it is still Texas he is running in.

Update: See what a player Mitch is? I bet someone just told him that he should use "woke" in his comments. That'll stir everything up.

McConnell: The private sector needs to stop acting like a ‘woke parallel govt.’

McConnell is in bed with Leftist Corporate America and he's chastising Leftist Corporate America for pulling the shenanigans that it has over the ASG? Sounds like more of the same High School drama that we've all come to expect from Mr. McTurtle.

Why is he surprised? He's part of it! Took part when he went ALONG with the STOLEN ELECTION!

I expect the next time we see Mitch he will be wearing a backwards baseball cap, parachute pants, and a red leather jacket with a bunch of zippers on it.

Again, this correctly distills down to "Stop opposing our white supremacism, or we'll retaliate against you too!", even by the actual definition of "woke".

The doozy here is really "Outrage Industrial Complex", a spin on the "military industrial complex". Problem is, the idea in the latter is that both the military (who receives high-priced, cutting edge weapons) and industry (who receive profits) get what they want out of that complex.

Coca-Cola has no actual interest in this sort of thing, as they have to choose the larger side of the battle instead of seeling to both. And the people outraged are the ones whose votes are being actively suppressed, which is exactly what they don't want, and are debating whether or not corporations pulling out of Georgia helps more than it hurts (note that Stacey Abrams says it hurts more than it helps).

The people who actually get what they want - both voter suppression *and* a way to whine even more about how white people are the Real VictimsTM, thus getting them to vote for people who will run their pockets? It's people like Moscow Mitch McConnell.

The corrupt Justice Department? I see he's admitting the Trump DOJ under Barr was corrupt since that's where the investigation of him started. What a putz.

Gaetz isn't a legislator or politician. He's all showbiz. Like Taylor-Greene. Like Trump. Like Cruz wants to be now.

We are now at the point where being elected to Congress is a stepping stone to showbiz. And showbiz is a stepping stone to politics. Depending on which pays more at the time. One way or another, it is all showbiz. We are well on our way to President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho.

In a way, yes. But ask "Why? Why showbiz?" I find "follow the money" to be a pragmatic explanation.

Gaetz is a skill-free oxygen thief who is not worth the cheap suits he inhabits. But as a politician, he gets paid a LOT to do this shtick. In showbiz, he would also get paid. Outside of these, he would not get enough in his tin cup while begging to buy a cheap cheeseburger.
