No way. Climate change is the biggest threat we face, and those are the aspects of the bill that need to be protected most of all.

The corporatists want to destroy the planet further so the fossil fuel industry and other polluters can line their pockets even more. Absolutely not!

That's a reason to try for that stuff again later when it might have enough votes to pass. It's not a reason to throw away other stuff that seems passable now (while also not getting the climate-changes stuff either).

No, I am done with the do-nothing Democrats kicking the can down the road.

If the corporatists don't support the bill, it will not pass. And we can try again in the future, but we will be hurt badly by the failure to pass something substantial now.

Then she can bring her concerns to the table and own them, not wait for the rest of her party to water their bill down to where she's hinting she might be satisfied but can continue to reject it while making further demands. Surely McConnell's yanked that particular football away enough times for the Democrats to not buy it.

That's what would make them do-nothings. Passing what they can pass now is how to something instead of nothing.

If this bill doesn't pass, probably not. They'd be throwing away the next election or two, exactly when the Republicans are setting up to make their next time on top permanent.
