Every time you start a thread with an unlabeled link, posters ask you for a summary. Let's do it again. Icebear, would you give us even a hint of what the video is about? Or your opinion? Or even a reason why this topic is worthy of discussion

That's what you get with JREF liberals -- "skeptics" too lazy to watch a video that's not even 60 minutes.

Doesn't anything by Webster Tarpley belong in the conspiracy forum by default?

The best summary I can give you is "Alex Jones".

For those who want more elucidation:
Quote:
Historian and author Webster Tarpley exposes how White House science czar John P. Holdren, who infamously co-wrote a 1977 textbook in which he advocated the formation of a "planetary regime" that would use a "global police force" to enforce totalitarian measures of population control, including forced abortions, mass sterilization programs conducted via the food and water supply, as well as mandatory bodily implants that would prevent couples from having children, is a Malthusian fanatic in the tradition of the arcane anti-human ideology that originated amongst British aristocracy in the 19th century.
Oh, and it's on the Alex Jones channel.

Hmm?

Webster Tarpley? Conspiracy Theories.
Alex Jones? Conspiracy Theories.
Holgren? Science... maybe. But no one wants to actually discuss the stuff the Tarpley cherry-picked, I reckon, so..... Conspiracty Theories.

I've requested a mercy move to CT (before this winds up in AAH).

I'm going to go out on a limb here and predict that this is another example of the FAIL Fallacy:

I don't think there's a formal name for this Fallacy. Perhaps we could call it the Falsely Attributed Intention* fallacy?

*We need to find a word that starts with "L" to use here, because "The FAIL Fallacy" is just too good to waste!

"False Advocacy Implication Logic"?

On the subject of Holdren and the book he co-wrote in 1977, may I offer a bit of balance?

Indeed, as the article also mentions, the authors point out that the 'sterilants in the drinking water' has never been tried before, anywhere, and the risk of something going badly wrong is far too great.

So wait a second. A study of a subject included possible abuses of, or negative interpretations of the subject?

There's just too many of them. You know, those people.

For only society can give or concede it to them; they themselves cannot take it, or give it to themselves.
